I love the sharp contrast between this theme and his first one. The first sounded evil, yet grand at the same time, appropriate for Smithy as he originally appears. This, this makes me think of a man gone insane from the immense power he yields, with no hint of his original brilliance or personality left other than his burning hatred for those who wronged him.
Yeah it's more like nightmare fuel than kid-friendly animation. Giygas is one thing but Nelvana... Holy crap what were they thinking? you might ask. Nelvana: Not a meme, but High grade nightmare fuel. Made by Canadians.
I love how both Smithy Battle Themes work out. The 1st one says: "I'm the boss! Respect my authori-tah!" The 2nd one says: "I'm gonna [bleep]in' kill you, Mario!" Classic RPGs often know how to save the best BGMs for last! Mario RPG is no exception!
GUUOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! M-my b-body and head are BOILING!! This... isn't... possible....!! I don't... believe it...!!! I'm finished.... done for....!! GUOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH.... *NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo......!!!!*
One of the best remixes for one of the best Mario games...that I have never actually played. Great job with this, it's even better than the original, which is saying something!
That is actually Smithy's weakness. Some could argue he may have exploded due to being beat up by Mario and his friends (and foe) but I think it may have been the fact the heroes (and villain) refusing to surrender to him that did him in. As they continued to resist him he got angrier and angrier and naturally being a machine this caused him to overload to critical levels and self destruct. Even though it is believed by the parade the gang was rebuilt their power is now crippled severely.
Or just as likely, being a living forge, the damage from your assault cracks the casing and the forge critically explodes from the fuel and molten metal
He’s like the t-1000. He is a liquid metal being whose only weakness is extreme heat. Being liquid metal the attacks did not hurt him but the friction caused by hundreds of assaults made him overheat and this caused him to explode. Killing the generator and all of his mass production of clones.
Even if people do not enjoy Mario RPG, you got to take note about the soundtrack. The music of this game is so beautifully mastered. It gives a feeling that many games today have lost. The feeling of you may loose everything if you fail, you may just die... :3 such an awesome game
Introudcing the new HELL SMITHY TOSTER! Including a handy hammer for varius uses( hammer spike's, deal whit intruders, make doom day weapons)! Now with extra functions as a statue, battle tank, a box and a welding torchmask! Oder Your's now and get the rest of the stuff free!!!
Those who want it, it's 900 points on WII. (The game.) One of the best mario games, and has quite a nice sense of humor. Be warned, this boss is long and has an annoying attack known as magnum. Beware the instant kill move! Most of the music is great too.
Well, yeah. I think I forgot to mention that I had a Wii in... 2006 I believe? But in about 2010 my house got robbed, so I don't have a Wii anymore. I still have my trusty Gamecube though.
Holy Jesus this guy used to scare the living crap out of me and he's still creepy as crap. Those transformations freaked me out so badly when I fought him, I understood why my brother wanted me to beat him instead of doing it himself.
He has that star because thats the 7th and final star you must collect by defeating him. Although I guess you do bring up a good point. Perhaps, if the star were to be black it would appear as if it were tainted and defeating him would purify it. :D
I was born in 1996. My parents didn't have enough money to buy me a GameCube system and all that fancy stuff. All I had was a NES clone console and a friend who had an SNES. You shouldn't feel sorry. :)
man....i remember so many years ago when i finally got to this guy... he was SO hard! i could not beat him! one day my mom was gone and it was late on a school night, i was supposed to be in bed....and then i beat him. i looked out the window during the ending of the game and i saw her driving up. i was like OH FUCK! i cant watch the ending i have to turn this off! (and miss the ending). i dont remember what happened after that it was about 12 years ago....but a funny story. epic game.
@WeaviletheGreat123 you my friend, are whet we real gamers need. Games arent graphics, but now all the little gamers seem to think that way, and thats sad
I don't know why but to me this track feels like what you would get of the guys from ID were having a slow day and just screwed around with the DOOM synthesizer. But thats just me.
They also had PS2.. which had some really, really great RPG games. I was born in 88.. and I love SNES. I still remember getting this game from my uncle for free, and completely falling in love with the game.. but.. nostalgia aside.. my favorite console is not SNES. It is the PSX, with PS2 in second place. There are a few exceptions though for SNES that beat anything on both PSX and PS2 however..
Favorite boss in a Mario game! And BTW do u know that Smithy second form can fire his breaker beam out of his mouth? That reminds me of IMMA FIRIN' MAH LAZOR!!!111!!
@dynamo50 yoshis island did that with the fuzzy's the effect it created when the game changed at point of touching fuzzy with the extremely disorentated music and watery screen made me hide under my pillow =3 still does...well not the pillow part and that was 7 or 8 years ago i was like that
Well, I'm 16 and because I couldn't buy the newests games in my time I had to emulate a lot of SNES games. But here I am, now I have a computer that runs Assasin's Creed 1 and 2, but sometimes I play the magic RPG of the Snes (FFs, Terranigma, Illusion of Gaia/time, Lufia, ToP, Secret of Mana/Evermore, etc). So it doesn't matter wich time you come from, if you like shit (most of the new games) you can't do nothing about it.
im one of that kids i have 12 but i play super nintendo and nintendo 64 because my brothers play it and i play this game a hundred of times i liked very much not all the kids have this luck
What do you mean? Gamecube has lots of cool games. Also, even if we were born in the late 90's that doesn't mean we can't play games from past generations -.- I played Mario RPG and Earthbound and loved every bit of it and I was born in 1997. Your comment should be: "I feel sorry for kids born in 1950" or something like that because if we were born AFTER the snes generation we can still play the games, but if you're born BEFORE the game existed then you wouldn't be able to play it.
I must agree. All the games nowadays, people only care about killing people, graphics, and violence. What happened to games that were actually GAMES. They were challenging, but so freaking fun at the same time. Hell, my friends at school say they only play games with good graphics. Meaning any game from about 2000 and under, they hated. There's a reason I don't hang out with them anymore. I hate the present. Wish it were the past >_>
Even though I usually have to pay it back in pocket money. Unless I got good grades. Then it's a gift. Technically, I'm abusing my own wallet -_- BUT WHO USES TECHNICALITY ANY MORE? I SURE DON'T!
@kescores actualy, I am kinda from that generation of kids, but i still like games like this more than random shooters, and I don't care about graphics (Minecraft FTW :D)
