Procedurally generated autorun levels. A sentence which I struggle with. For me the main draw of SMB was to replay levels to get better and perfect them. This gameplay loop gave an immense amount of replayability which I feel is lost in this new game. It's a cool premise but for me it misses the mark.
I hated this game like for the first 2 hours. It seemed way too hard and the auto run nature gave the illusion that you had very little control over it all. But when it all clicks in and you realize how to pace and control yourself with the wall jumps, punches, dives, etc. Its almost a "When the doom eternal soundtracks kicks in" moment and now I love the game! xD
I am almost done with the game and I can say it is good. I had a wtf moment when I first started and thought it was an android port with the auto run. Dont worry, it all works out. It is a good mix of bitless and vvvvv.
