​@BludInsomnomnolence Take a bit of time to get into the groove of its like riding a bike. I hadn't played SM in like 6 years until the other week and it took me 3 tries to do the kraid skip. It's completely okay for it to be harder than later titles since you never have to walljump to beat the game

That's a shinespark. Basically you run until Samus starts flashing, then crouch, then jump. The other move, just jump while flashing and try not to touch the walls

@@potato_the_pig5757 speed booster doesn't check that you're holding the button all the time - it only checks that it's held on specific frames. This lets you mash the button instead of holding it to get speed booster to kick in, which means you can run less distance and still get the boost As for the way he could turn in mid-air while jumping up that hallway, it's not a vanilla feature, many Super Metroid hacks are built off Project Base romhack which changes speed booster in a way that lets you keep it while jumping like that

If you haven't noticed, I do gameplay of ROM hacks. This is the niche of this channel. And wtf is primitive about it? About 90% of them are hacks of Super Metroid and Super Mario World. If I don't make videos of that, then I might as well delete this channel. And how are you going to know if a hack is crap before playing it? By watching videos of people who've already played. And this hack in question is really good, made by one of the best Metroid romhackers.

@@hackgameslongplaychannel As a rule, I watch all the channel’s videos positively or neutrally. but your fanatical love for the same titles presents us with exactly the same hacks, you can’t tell the difference. For any casual or general gamer like me, this highly specialized niche obviously does not bring the delight you expected. Well, this is not interesting to 90% of retro lovers.

They also have the most ROM hacks. Other titles have very few hacks. I play the hacks as they are released, sometimes even older ones. I don't judge whether they are good or bad; I simply play them. Recently, I've played several Super Metroid hacks because there's a contest happening, which has led to the release of new hacks. It had been years since any hacks for this game were released. If you don't like the title, you don't have to watch. I have an audience, and I know what the majority of them want to see; I just look at the data in my analytics. By the way, I have three other channels: two focused on specific types of games and one about comic books. I even quit my job to focus on this full-time. Now, I make a lot of money doing what I love.
