Oh my god, I loved it so much playing this today! I'm SO excited to keep playing more. I had no idea I'd instantly fall in love with this game!!

@@foxyfrog Hard to blame you, it's a classic. Once you beat it you should do a speedrunner reaction video or something. You'd probably find it interesting what has been discovered over the years. Enjoy!

@@foxyfrog Look up a game called AM2R. It's Another Metroid 2 Remake. It's a fan made remake of Metroid 2 from Gameboy, the Metroid where Samus finds the hatchling, and the game before this one. It's free, supported by the community, and it is one of the best sidescrolling metroid games that exist in my opinion. Snappy responsive controls, lots of good enemies, amazing and catchy music, and abilities not unlike Super Metroid. I can't recommend it enough!

You used to get a sweet manual with games that had story and art besides the stuff like the controller layout. I highly recommend checking it out.

Just got suggested this and I love people experiencing these old classics for the first time. Have you ever played Doom 2 or Half-Life/Half-Life 2? Highly suggest they get put on this list
