Wanna play the game on hard mode? Play as Gongon. No seriously, that boss shouldn't have taken me that long.
After a seven year hiatus from Monkey Ball, Sega mysteriously announced a remake for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz in 2019. This game is very controversial among fans as Banana Blitz wasn't the greatest to begin with. I personally enjoy it, however way more than the original. The motion controls are now absent, and the music has been changed. Nonetheless, I give you Banana Blitz HD!

I literally never played as Gon Gon in the original, nor have I played this version, so this is the first I’ve seen of him destroying bumpers. What a strange ability...

Oddly enough, they made the boss fight harder in this version due to the explosion physics making you fly far and fast...not to mention the end section constantly sending a missile barrage when the original didn't do that quite as much. I can't imagine this was intentional, though.

Strong agree. I don't think it's a coincidence that the only good boss battle is structured like a regular get-to-the-goal level with some unique obstacles. World 7 has the least bad boss of the other worlds, though. In a platformer where you have your own health bar instead of a random chance of flying off the stage each time you're hit, it would have been outstanding.

The game that's fine. Seriously, why didn't they remake Splitz, that was apparently really good and barely anyone got a chance to play it because it was Vita exclusive.

I think this game gets Gets a C on my super monkey ball their list because I do like the opening screen music and it does seem like some improvements have been made over banana blitz However, not enough has been done to hide the fact that is based on one of the weakest monkey balls.

Can you believe we have only 12-11 days left until the early access to Banana Mania? I am so excited! Still hope they make a demo before release though.
