Well if you go on the banana rumble website there are 2 ? characters and this is being developed by RGG studios so the two are probably RGG rep. If that's correct one of them will be Kiryu, while the other one could be Ichiban or Majima.

@@Unknown_User174in the idw comics the classic characters are able to talk. And yes the idw comics are cannon to the games idk why classic sonic doesn’t talk in the games tho when we know he can. Well he did also talk in Sonic cd so there’s that to.
so they can completely redo the physics when nobody wanted it to be changed, remove features from the original games, redesign all the characters, replace all the music with crappy royalty-free sounding remixes, and then charge you $5.99 for DLC if you want anything from the original
Aside from the whole classic team, Sonic quartet, as well as Beat & Axel from Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi, respectively, we also got these really cool looking costumes of Akira Yuki, Goro Majima, Gilius Thunderhead, Nights, and Shadow The Hedgehog!
Ohh wow I might actually get this game. It looks great. Nice to see we have Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy added to the game as well. Sonic and Amy are my favorite characters. Even better it’s Amy’s original design too, she looks so cute. I always loved her initial design :)

Man, I wish for once we fans could be grateful for what we have instead of complaining about what we wish we had. I think it's cool to play as Sonic and friends in a whole different game!
Idk as much as I like sonic, I think it having 4 characters is a bit much, we should’ve really had sonic and then either Amy and knuckles as new characters, then that would leave room for different sega franchises like puyo puyo, yakuza, samba de amigo, persona/smt, nights, etc
Could SEGA possibly be teasing something? That's a brand-new design for Beat, and both JSR and Crazy Taxi were two of the 5 games in SEGA's Game Awards reveal. Also, I love Axel rides a car in a ball. I expect to see a full online lobby of him.
I'm late, but yes they are. If you search for the Leaks. JSR is being remade. They are having an online service game of it AND a complete Remake/Reboot. Only a few pictures have been leaked. But it looks fantastic.
It’s cool that Amy and Knuckles will be coming to Super Monkey Ball in this game as DLC characters but I’m disappointed that shadow is only a costume for the Monkeys and not a actual player (although there could still be a possible chance) that he could at least I’m hoping so since SEGA has confirmed this year being the year of Shadow
I think there’s too many Sonic characters. They should’ve stuck to three, specifically Sonic, Tails, and Eggman, because Eggman rolling around in a giant ball is pretty funny.
Anyone wondering why we didn't see anything from Segas other announcements? Where was Crazy Taxi? Golden axe? Jet set radio? We saw no gameplay. We just vaguely know they are all getting new games
Oh dear lord, Sonic the Hedgehog speed mixed with Monkey Ball gameplay. If that doesn't result in this game's equivalent of "Dante Must Die" difficulty I will be genuinely shocked XD
I miss when content like this was included in the game at launch, and I didn't have to pay extra for it. If it's finished content before the game's released, then there should be no reason why it's not already in the base game.

This and the other modern monkey ball games were made by RGG, the all stars games and tsr were made by sumo digital I hope they bring back all stars instead of another standalone sonic kart racer tho since they’re using different ip again, they they want standalone sonic racing games then bring back riders and make sure it plays like the original no dumbed down controls
