I give Nintendo's best consoles the arcade treatment. The N64's infatuation with analog controls also gets wrecked and I make every input digital and get objectively worse at Mario Kart 64.
Very nice! maybe double the time before the double escape in the hardware attract, it seems to cut off most games before their intros even get rolling.
Very nice, but without an actual joystick this would feel to me like playing on PC, not arcade. Was there a way of getting the same results using an arcade stick instead? I say this because this would be amazing on Dynamo Showcase pedestal arcade cabinets with those 39" flat CRT screens that they had for those. Those ones usually came with steel boards instead of granite, two side speakers, and a subwoofer. The same goes for other consoles of the era like the Super Nintendo, the Saturn, the PlayStation, the PlayStation 2, the OG Xbox, the Genesis, the Dreamcast, the OG Nintendo, and even the Wii. They would all be amazing on one of those big cabs. The Dynamo Showcase cabs are so beautiful that I would love to build one for the Neo Geo too, and for all the other 4:3 cool arcade games of the time. Now I really wish I had your building skills. Congratulations on the excellent work though. I'm not a big fan of upright cabs, but I still think these ones you made look amazing next to each other. I'm definitely jealous in the good way.
Thanks, I appreciate the kind words! the control panels are hot swappable, so you can achieve the same results with an arcade stick. After building 6 arcades I wanted to cut some costs (no more $30 joysticks) and experiment with something new; hence these controls.
