In Japan, we called the Virtual Line Reservation as drawing an Area-timed Entry Ticket.

The best time is when the Park opens. It's a first come, first serve basis.

so if we enter 5, we cant show up with 4? i asking because my step son might be doing his own thing

You can show up with 4. However, if you set it to 5 and everyone wants to enter, they must all be present. Once the Virtual Line QR code is scanned. It will then be invalid. So your 5th guest will not be allowed access. They will need a separate reservation. You can not share QR codes. Best recommendation: set your VR time for later so that everyone can go in at once. Or wait till later in the day when VR is no longer needed. The wait time will be down significantly.

Correct. The ride doesn't need a reservation. This is strictly to enter Super Nintendo World.

As of right now, there are no pressed penny machines in Super Nintendo World. Maybe soon. We'll see.

Absolutely! There is no time limit once you are in the world. Stick around, go on the ride, play the interactive games, etc.

@@Carmen-pq2dm You can. You scan the QR code, put down the number of guests with you, and reserve a time. This will be your reservation if the Nintendo World reservations are active. Arrive at your designated time.
