That 303 laser has a focuser you removed. You don't need to expose the diode and get point blank you're supposed to focus the beam with the cap and hold it still on a black object to torch it.
That laser is actually only 1200mw not 5000mw. I have tested it on my channel with a laser power meter. Still very dangerous and you should always wear safety glasses. Even a reflected light off a balloon can cause permanent eye damage.
You are the second one to refute that claim. I ordered the “5w” version myself and am expecting something closer to 1.3w. Thanks for the clarification.
Whoa. I can't believe how quickly handheld, retail laser technology is advancing. That blue light one is insane. Loved the way it refracted off the water when the ballon popped; they looked like futuristic flash bombs. Pretty sure some guy shined it at a plane flying overhead. Could've blinded the pilot. Somehow, they figured out his location and apprehended him or something IIRC. I wonder how far we are from lasers becoming legit weapons & whether or not they'll be considers arms...
I love that part too - seeing the laser light up the water frozen-mid-air, so cool. I learned the FAA has special/specific laser laws, and they even promote a $10,000 reward, for anyone who turns in someone doing ILLEGAL laser activity - pretty crazy!
I be careful with the animal rights people going around saying you don't mind burning the eyes of mountain animals literally melting their eyeballs inside of their skull I know you didn't mean it like that it's just funny though
Thank god. I have tons of unused water bollons that I just had put away BC I didn't have a way of getting rid of them. Wow this is gonna save me space in my garage 😂
It is important to note that green lasers are 7X to 10X brighter than any other beam color at the same output power. This means that a 60,000mW green laser will be approximately 7 times brighter than any other color.
Why would you blind a wild big cat? Flashing that powerful of a laser would blind the animal and needlessly cause it to starve to death in pain. Careful what you throw out. Nice laser.
Question about that last laser: Do you think you could kill a grown wolf spider with it before the spider had the chance to run away under the couch? If so, I'm definitely sold.
The green one can cause serious eye damage too lmao. It’s safe to wear it with all lasers not only that you have to have goggles that are rated for the certain wavelengths. Not only that you didn’t even focus the laser 303 when burning the match.
A jackass at my school got one of these, and when we were in the locker room one day he had it on and was randomly swinging it around the room. It crossed right over my eyes and brought my vision from 20/20 to 25/30. These are very dangerous lasers.
If you are gonna scare something, it will anyways be angry. 🤣 Anger is born out of fear. However, firing 5k mW lasers at lions' eyes must be illegal. Even a flicker of this laser can permanently damage their eyes. And a blind lion will die of hunger.
I have the other two lasers and have love messing with them and always trying to see what they can do but now seeing the last one had to make me buy and one of the best RU-vid subscriber Ive see thanks your all the time and effort to make them for everyone your awesome
I got one of those lasers. My girlfriend freaked when she saw it. And I quote "WHY DO YOU HAVE THAT?!?" It's actually closer to 1500 mw. Though I gotta try starting a for with it, that one might be stronger
At the green laser you don't have to take off the entyre cap just focus it it has like a little screw on the end that you can spin and thats your adjustable focus
I went through many only 630 nm red lasers as a kid. Those red protection glasses are only meant for green lasers, I got Eagle Pair glasses, that the blue light CANNOT pass through.
No, not 5 watt, two small lithium ion battery’s can’t push a diode of that power, highest I’ve seen this laser go is 1.3 watts, which is still good considering the size
This video was produced 7yrs agoand at the time only the green one has a keylock to prevent unauthorizedbut not the blue one.Has that changed since then? Also I could use it also for making holograms in my basement /sciece/art/worklab/game room /interainment room.
anyone here have a good recommendation for safety glasses for the blue laser at the end of this video. im new to REAL lasers and omg i need something, you cannot enjoy burning without some eye protection. only took a split second to realise its like looking at the sun... and no i didnt point it into my eye, just the dot is insane even out in sunlight
That first "pen" laser is not safe! It is a 405 nm laser. It's dim because the human eye simply can't see that wavelength very well. It is not a safe laser for pets and such. The green laser has a focus ring in the very end, spin it and it will focus the laser, I do not recommend taking the end of the laser off to burn things, it will actually etch the soot onto your lens. Very nice video.
I have a Thor M2 and I don’t have the safety glasses and I use it all the time, it doesn’t bother me except letting me see a blue dot for a couple of minutes if I use it a lot then it goes away. :)
@@patman0250 Yeah my red laser needed goggles that were Teal/turquoise colored, now my blue laser needs reddish goggles. The goggles I have now are like the ones in the video and they suck, I can still clearly see the red dot through the goggles, and it should be barely visible.
Could you test a confortable, cheap yet quality gadget transport ( like your reviews on rhe r4 plus and the duel whell ) t theyre all very cool but very expensive
For that last laser, what would happen if someone waved their hand in front of it? Has anyone tried it (....most likely accidentally)? Would it give a burning sensation, feel uncomfortably warm, or have zero effect on skin? It sucks so bad when you want to play with all the cool toys in the world.... but you still have young children so you have to wait until they graduate and move out (because I'm not trusting teenagers either). u_u
I have a question, I want to purchase the "5W" laser. I was wandering about the safety. When in usage during the day, do you need to wear the glasses, when you're are with people around, and you want to use it, do they need to wear glasses ? I am concerned, this is the only reason I am stalling from buying it.
Next thing we know we will have is those laser gun from star wars. ( I am not star wars fan, so I do not know what's it orginally called and I am sorry if that offend you.)
it was amazing to see laser bouncing off the back sides of highway signs as you know, it is aluminium .. and unpainted with directions for drivers. Do not aim laser too close to the back sides of sgins.. do it at least 100 feet away which is bad enough .. Better still, do it at least 500 feet away for peace of mind..
It's cheaper and more efficient to get an infrared laser specifically for burning things and has the positive that any plastic glasses will protect your eyes.
Imagine if a terrorist or just a person with bad intentions gets their hands on this. The amount of people this can hurt in a short period of time is honestly scary. Also this thing makes virtually no noise when used and the beam can probably blind faster than you could even react.Scary stuff.
That cheap, $3 laser can actually be dangerous. A lot of those lasers are underspeced. They usually put out at least 10-20mW, which is more than enough to cause eye damage.
Hi ben please tell me if u remeber me u met me at potter for college and career day im gio the one who asked for your singnature i love your videos btw
Ben, the links above and the link in the comments that is pinned all read "sorry, this page cannot be found". Just in case they're affiliate links brother and you're wondering why your account details are not increasing. Thanks for the cool video bro' ♥
