"So yeah. I needed this in my life because-- there's no reason." RELATABLE! "And I was like I feel like I have to get it because it's pretty and... so I was like yeah, let's do it!" ALSO RELATABLE!
It makes me so happy that even though you are sent so many books you still have the need/want to buy more books. The book thirst can never be stopped!!
Hailey, I these notifications that you upload and I freak out!!! Especially when it’s an extra video from the week!!! You are my absolute favorite youtuber!! 💙
I have a winter reading guide coming soon, I haven't really read enough to do one dedicated to Christmas reads but hopefully after this year I'll have enough of a list to do one next year!
Hailey in Bookland Ooh, that sounds exciting! Winter is one of the best times to read because you can curl up by a fire with a book. Plus there’s a lot more free time during the break between fall and spring semesters.
Since the you sort into all of the houses, the sorting hat would either : let you completely choose which one you want because obviously it takes what you want into consideration OR would look at the amount of strongest suits that you have in each house and likely choose quantity over quality
Back in my teens I just loved Sherlock Holmes.. I don't know how much I would still enjoy them, but, a lot of the stories aren't that long and you don't necessarily have to read them in order. My favorite used to be "A Study in Scarlet" which is only around 108 pages. I've been working on Mark Twain's Complete Short Stories for over a year now, just a little bit at a time. I loved Huckleberry Finn, but, I think I could go the rest of my life happily not reading Tom Sawyer again.. lol
So I don’t usually comment on here but I saw your edition of Sherlock Holmes and it is amazing! I have the mass market paperback one and it was really hard to read too. I actually found the audiobook on audible. For the entire collection. It’s like 72 hours - for ONE credit! Just thought I’d let you know if you ever wanna check it out :) Also, I saw your last video when you spoke about Detroit and how close you live. I’m actually right outside Detroit like 20-30 minutes. I appreciate the way you talk about it, everyone has these misconceptions about what Detroit is really like and there are so many stereotypes about it being such a horrible area. It just makes me happy when you talk about loving to come here, because all people hear is the bad things, but you shed some positive light.
I love Dracula. I've somehow ended up doing loads of gothic literature in three of my courses- Dracula for an EPQ, Frankstein and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde for English Coursework and Kinder und Hausmarchen by the Brothers Grimm for my German Coursework. So. Many. Words!
I seriously want the hufflepuff edition. My house is hufflepuff. I have some wordcloud editions of most of Jane Austen novels and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. Loved the Scarlett letter
I absolutely love the Mythology book, and the literary Wonderlands! Question, were did you get them? Is the Mythology one ONLY about Greek mythology or about other places?
Honestly I was a bit disappointed with the illustrated Azkaban edition. We had to wait until the end to see Lupin and Black but Snape got I don't know how many illustrations throughout the whole book. I was kinda pissed... Sherlock is so much fun to read especially when you have watched the BBC series Jekyll and Hyde was a bit of a disappointment to me, not creepy at all and not enough Jekyll or Hyde in my opinion were present.
You should take the pottermore quiz because you get to take it only one time now and the result you get that's what you are because they give true results and you can't change them
I was disappointed when I read that Mythology book. I was hoping it'd have stuff on a lot of different mythologies, but it was just Greek and Roman with a teeny tiny Norse section at the end :/
I rlly want to know how anyone can afford to buy so many books? Not trying to be offensive, im literally asking coz i want to buy tons of books but dont hav nearly enough money
