Great video as usual. About fruit flies: I once worked in an office with a horrific infestation. They fixed it by putting out transparent cups with fruit and honey in them, Saran wrap rubber banded over the top, and a handful of holes punched in the Saran wrap. Over days the cups filled with huge mounds of trapped fruit flies until the problem was fixed, in less than two weeks.

Another trick in the same style with transparent cup and saran wrap, just put apple cider vinegar in there instead of the fruit, works like a charm!

@@devocracy1089 Alternatively you can save money on grocery bills by simply plucking them out the air and eating them. We were going to get rid of ours but decided to throw in an old apple core every so often to keep the colony going. Free protein

I had this issue in my house this summer. It wasn’t a terrible infestation but it was still pretty gross. Fruit and honey definitely works. But what also works is apple cider vinegar and sugar. Not only does it attract the flies, but it also kills them because they drown in the liquid.

I'm laughing so hard at the fruit fly part. I get tormented by mosquitoes at night sometimes if they get in my room, so when I heard the fruit fly buzzing in my ear I literally jumped out of my bed bc of the nonexistent mosquito 😭😭😭 your mic quality is bonkers!!! Doc, I think I may have a solution to this whole views problem! Have u tried using tags on your videos? I’ve noticed some other asmr RU-vidrs I watch use tags on the videos and it pushes them a lot more especially for people looking up asmr and related topics! If you’ve tried this and it didn’t help, sorry for the silly suggestion, but if this does work I’d be really happy for u. The quality of ur videos really deserves some bigger recognition! Fruit fly trap! 👇 Take a water or pop bottle, cut it in half, pour some apple cider vinegar (not a whole lot just enough to fill the bottom) and a drop or two of dish soap, wrap Saran wrap over the top, poke a lot tiny holes with a thumb tack or sewing needle and, Voilà! Homemade fruit fly trap 👍 The fruit flies will be attracted to the apple cider vinegar, fly into the tiny hole(once in they can't fly out), and get stuck in the vinegar because of the dish soap 🧼 Everytimeeee I buy bananas I apparently buy fruit flies too, they're annoying lil pests. It really works! Hope this helps, Dr. T! 😀

The fruitfly has me giggling every time lol, as usual my mood is much improved thanks to you doc 😊 btw, if you want some tips about them (though you may aleready have tried) is to mix together vinegar, fruit (jam works well) and dishsoap in a small bowl and leave that out in a few places. These flies are called 'vinegar flies' in many languages as they are attracted to ripened fruit and love vinegar. The sweet vinegar mix attracts them and the soap kills them, this has worked for us several times. Though I must say I don't mind the fruitfly asmr lol 😆

For the fruit flies: fill a glass with sugar, water, apple vinegar (or a bit of fruit juice) and create a funnel above it with either a coffee filter or a reversed plastic bottle cut in half. Flies will swarm the glass and fly inside the funnel but won't be able to get out. They will all die either drowned or of exhaustion.
