It's said in the game. It was made for speed and power, to use in blitzkrieg assaults. Sure, the Alt isn't the fastest (that would be the Cybuster) but it is one of the fastest mecha, and one of the two with the greatest acceleration, the other being the DyGenGuard. In fact, in the last debrief before the end chapters of SRT OG2, the reason why Kyosuke and Sanger don't eat anything heavy and just drink coffee is because the sheer acceleration of their mechas.
Well, the Alt is fast. The problem is with its mobility, but it's designed to break through the enemy lines before said enemies can react, take down everything around it withstanding everything they can throw at it and then come back before the enemy commanders would have a chance to understand what happened. It's acceleration is top notch, too. Truly, a machine designed for blitzkrieg assaults.
Question: Have you even played Super Robot Wars OG2? It is Alteisen Riese (Giant) not Alteisen Reise (Travel)! Sorry, but that typo on the Alt disturbs me greatly wherever I go and see it written down by other fans.
That's what I said. It can't do fast moves around units, or turn quickly while moving, but it can rush at you faster than most of the other mechas of both the SRX and ATX teams. Probably only the Cybuster and the Rein Weissritter are faster than the Alt Eisen Riese, and both of them has less acceleration that the Alt. In fact, the only other mecha with as much acceleration as the Alt is the DyGenGuard.
EFSF was from Univerce Century Gundam=) Well, EFA military is mostly the same as EFSF. And Alt has gundam-like torso, but no one in Anahaim could even imaginate such a radical mech!
lmao i was looking at the pic for the longest debating with myself whether it was the Alteison, a custom wildwurger, or a gespenst on crack. but then i remembered the gespenst kick from the anime :P
@darkmirage0 He likes his suits light on armor so he can turn on a dime though. Hell, when he used an I-field enabled suit, his reaction was to dodge beam attacks anyway. Couldn't get used to it.
@Shaftronics Yeah, he'd rather choose an agile MS than a heavy MA. To be honest the Nightengale was rather bulky, but I'd imagine he took design notes from The O's book.
@FlayvorOfEvil yeah id have to agree on that, but i think if you look at the official infos. The alt weighs about 85 tons while the main line of gespensts is around 70-80 depending on model, heck the wildschwein is almost 80, so I don't really understand why with alt should be considered especially slow. The only excuse i can find is that because of the bit revolver stake on the side, its unbalance to the point they had to govern its speed for stability reasons. But even then, Override switch.
@darkmirage0 everything but that 3x faster part, though I'm sure if they jammed all that armor and gear onto a standard Gespenst mk II without completely rebuilding the machine like they did when they built the Alt, it probably wouldnt have anywhere near the speed of the Alt
lol i cant really complain about that. Banpresto really love putting and slaughtering German language..not to mention not everyone can speak/write it XD
