Mikoto transforms into a new species of Zonder machine and lands in Tokyo after absorbing all the energy from Guy, the Mobile Unit and the GGG Orbit Base. The new Zonder machine then forms Zonuda upon reaching Tokyo and has the intention of mechanizing the entire planet. BrightiX intercepts Zonuda and they are soon joined by Guy and the rest of the GaoMachines that are being operated by the Mobile Unit's Super-AIs. They form GaoGaiGar and Guy is determined to save Mikoto.
As the battles goes on, Belzeb arrives in his new Great Jaaku Satan and sends Zonuda into another dimension. Belzeb then unleashes a field which starts draining the energy and life force of everyone within in. Mamoru tries his best to weaken its effects but there is a limit to how long he can weaken it.
After sufficient damage has been dealt to Belzeb, things start to look bad as Mamoru is getting weaker and all the civilians around him start fainting. One such civilian present is Kaidou's mother. Thankfully, if conditions were met, Kaidou will arrive to help restore everyone to full strength while J will return alive and well.
After Belzeb is defeated, he retreats and Zonuda returns to the battlefield. As damage is done to Zonuda, an event is triggered where any unit that attacks Zonuda will be forced to leave the battlefield or else they will be mechanized. Only the ships are immune to this effect while GaoGaiGar has six chances to defeat Zonuda being it gets mechanized.
After Zonuda is defeated, she recovers and is about to mechanize GaoGaiGar until Belzeb intervenes and provides Guy with the opening he needs to destroy Zonuda. Mikoto begs Guy to kill her but its too late as Guy is nearly completed mechanized while Mamoru is unconscious.
Thankfully, Kaidou is able to purify both Guy and Mikoto, undoing the effects of Zonuda's Matter Sublimation ability and restoring them back to human. The rest of Tokyo is also restored to normal along with the rest of the Mobile Unit. However, BrightiX has no time to celebrate as Emperor Warusa himself arrives and starts levitating the entire city of Toyko into the sky.
