It's disappointing for me that Hyoma get's a rather useless Ace Bonus for damage. If it similar to Kouji's or Ryoma it would have push combattler's damage even higher.
@@charlestonho6733 Nope. That was a rumor squashed during the 30 Reveal stream. He said that such clause didn't exist and he'd love to return. But Terada said "It's not the time yet." Guess I'll have to remind for a long time until the time comes.
if SRW has proved me anything in the several games I have played... The classic grand-daddy mechas are some of the most broken things and you can't go wrong with them. Tryder, Daitarn, Zambot, Combattler, etc. They're all great.
I like that the animations almost always start with a close-up of a full-sized Combattler V, only showing SD sprite entering the frame (like everyone else) twice. I also like how it's framed as if to convey Combattler's size.
Shailo: why? Why im can't win? Hyoma: bit*ch because Combatter v is super electromagnetic robot you cannot defeat it just because it big don't mean it slow
I mean, there's not exactly a ton you can *do* with most of the gundams. Like, they have the ace protag units with some special moves...but the franchise tends to present the various mechs as military or prototype units intended for mass production rather than unique builds. U.C Gundam in particular is guilty of this, where the original Gundam was literally just a prototype that would become the basis of the backbone of the Federation's MS forces with the GM series. In the end, there's little difference between a Gundam and a Zaku. They're just different lines of Mobile Suits. Of course, then you get series like G Gundam (which went full Super) and Wing with it's crazy unique designs and weapon setups. But even then, Gundams don't get *too* wild for the most part. They want to be seen as a "hard science" series with more realistic consequences. Exceptions being G Gundam, and whatever the fuck the Gundam Red Astray is. Never knew a Gundam could go to the gym. But yeah, the reason so many Gundams reuse weapons is because the weapons, themselves, are mass produced or intended as such. In the same way most soldiers would have a similar set of equipment depending on their role, many Mobile Suits share the same set of weapons.
While I do think the new arrangement could've been better, you have to remember that Hyoma's VA is 67, which is going to have an impact on his voice. Honestly, the fact that the staff had him record new lines at all was a miracle.
