Agree with the comments here, especially the brumbies style something that IMO started back with jake white. Brumbies are a genuine contenders to win the comp, even with this blues loss setback. Their line out setpiece ark and def is the best in super rugby at the moment.

What a game, the best one yet, that was the first time the Blues have been tested all season, also congrats to them for equalling the franchise record of 12 straight wins set by the 1997 championship-winning team, no matter what, this current crop always find a way to win, congrats to the Brumbies, they didn't make it easy, it was a real dogfight.

So the final penalty looks like the tackler not rolling away fast enough, because you can see his body blocking RTS' ball presentation for at least 2s before the pilfer, and by that time ruck has already formed

Brumbies were penalised less then they deserved realy. The ref allowed Nick White hands in the ruck. No tackle release when Perofeta were near goal line.Acouple of times they cleaned illegaly at rucks. Those were the obvious. As a Crusader fan it was crazy what Brumbies were allowed to get away with. I think the Blues missed Akira's physicallity.

ABs need someone like T.Umaga Jensen cause against fast solid defenses like South Africa he'll get our go forward from the midfield position. Roger at 12 has had way more carries isn't afraid to make those carries and doesn't handbrakes like some of these midfielders. Brumbies did everything they could to slow the ball and smother the Blues and then complained because they were getting pinged. Nick White is a grub but credit where credit is due he rode Christie's back all night. Christie is too slow and cost us. Nice vision to pick the right runner from Perofeta for Barretts try. I had been worried as to who was around as a third first five for the AB's, but he seems to have answered that question. Seems to be a bit more depth in that position developing with Gatland better than I thought he was, Gilbert & Burke interesting prospects, would also like to see Sullivan at first receiver. Not seeing much of Ioane. But Perofeta the one looking ready for the step up right now.

3:13 is a penalty for the ball carrier re-binding (arguably twice), I wish they'd officiate rolling mauls properly. The attacking team already gets a huge advantage. I generally support Australian teams, just sick of mauls dominating so much

All eyes on the defence, pinged at the slightest transgression. Attacking side with all kinds of shenanigans almost never picked up.

@@RugbyGuide they almost need two refs for the maul, the first is already watching the defenders for transgressions. So the second ref can observe the attacking team with the ball.

@@oldblack15 What really annoys me with things like offside, foul play, mauls, etc. is that years ago they elevated touchies to 'assistant referee' but it's still largely "I'm the man in the middle, you speak when spoken to." unless it's some senior ref doing AR for the day. I've said this for years, they could learn from basketball which has refs on the same level, covering responsibilities, conferring as equals if they need to.

I was rooting for the Brumbies because at least we have a competitive Aussie side, but the Blues are too good.

I wouldn't say too good, brumbies have the capability to beat them as we can see.

the blues were notibly frustrated throughout with several scrambles from the Brumbies as well. Without Big Red and Akira we do lack a bit of needed grunt
