During the past week, I dedicated my efforts to restoring a highly deteriorated hand tool-an antique pipe wrench, also referred to as a monkey wrench or plumbing tool. This particular wrench belonged to the renowned North American brand "Trimont MFG CO," established in 1889, and it likely dates back to the early or mid-1900s, making it nearly a century old. The restoration process involved a series of tasks, including sandblasting to remove rust, applying paint stripper to strip away the old paint, extensive filing and sanding, as well as the necessity to weld a section of the jaws due to their severe condition. The resulting videos of this restoration showcase the remarkable transformation of this vintage pipe wrench into an impressive and fully functional plumbing tool.
