Her level in this tournament was very high. She faced 2 dangerous opponents in the 1st and second round. We can only imagine what could have been if she didn't get pregnant that year.

Having a tricky first couple of rounds against Bencic and Safarova were key to her success. Serena had to be locked in from the very first point and I believe that set the tone for the rest of the tournament. She was phenomenal.
