Mandu-jeongol
[Ingredients]
*Mandu-jeongol ingredients
1 pack (10pc/350g) frozen mandu
1/2 (125g) onion
3 leaves (105g) albaechu
1 stalk (100g) green onion
2 (40g) shiitake
2 (20g) Cheongyang pepper
1 (10g) red chili pepper
*Mandu-jeongol seasoning ingredients
5 1/2 (1000ml) water
3 tbsp (30g) soup soy sauce
1 tbsp (20g) minced garlic
1/3 tbsp (4g) fine salt
Some ground black pepper
[Directions]
1. Leave the frozen mandu out to thaw.
2. Slice the green onion in half lengthwise, and chop in pieces roughly the length of the mandu, about 7cm in length.
3. Chop the albaechu and onion in pieces roughly the width of the mandu, about 2cm in thickness.
4. Finely slice the shiitake, about 0.3cm in thickness.
5. Slice the Cheongyang pepper and red chili pepper on a diagonal, about 0.5cm in thickness.
6. Take 20% of the thawed mandu to use for the broth, and finely slice, about 0.5cm in thickness.
7. Place the sliced mandu that will be used for the broth in the center of a jeongol pot.
8. Divide the vegetables (except for the Cheongyang pepper and red chili pepper) into two batches and place them facing each other on the pot. Place the mandu in between the vegetables.
9. Add the minced garlic and soup soy sauce in the center. Set the pot on a gas burner, pour water, and boil on high heat.
10. Season with fine salt according to the amount of broth.
11. Add ground black pepper. Bring the broth to a boil and crack an egg in the center.
12. Garnish with Cheongyang pepper and red chili pepper.
13. Finally, add ground black pepper and eat it as it boils.
