I know very little about Smash Brothers. I can say from an outside perspective that Ultimate is infinitely superior to Melee. Not that melee is bad (i’ve only played it a few times anyway) but Ultimate has so much more to it.

Most of the mods "from" infinite are just other smash bros characters and stages. Geno, Waluigi, and Phantom Gannon are from Legacy XP, a pm modpack, and the moves there are noticeably more refined and technical. Geno actually has a timing aspect to his moves like in Mario rpg. Just saying, the credit can't go entirely to this modpack. Especially considering the low amounts of effort actually used for this in comparison to PM, Legacy XP or TE.

Brawl Modding is wonderful because we have very talented people still working on Brawl mods to this day, and we also have character mods made over a single weekend in 2009 that are still in use. 10/10 Also, Brawl Modding is one of the easiest mod communities to get into, with really great tools and tutorials. Highly recommend it for anyone interested
