SuperPikachu Jexs Dude Pikachu is literally everywhere. Have you been to Japan? You can’t go three feet without seeing a Pikachu, and they have Pokémon parades with giant Pikachu balloons all the time. If anything, he’s more respected than link, Mario, and Kirby combined.
@SuperPikachu Jexs the pokémon company and game freak have to keep pikachu because it became the series mascotte and i think that nintendo markets pikachu as much as any other populair game character they have.
JUST LOOK AT HOW KIRBY'S SO EXCITED TO GET A MAKEOVER LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE AND THEN HIS REACTION WHEN HE REALIZES HE'S THE ONLY ONE WHO DOESN'T CHANGE AT ALL, HE JUST STANDS THERE LIKE WTF? HAHAHAHA
UnofficialGamer i think the reason the game was rated T was because snake was in the game.another reason could be that master hand has blood. Zero suit samus is in the 3DS version but the game is rated E.
+RobotwarsKing This game was garbage even if it IS different from Melee. Random tripping ruined the whole competitive side and the only reliable way to get around was by flying around as Meta Knight. _This is coming from a person who doesn't even play Melee._
This is my favorite and Ultimate is my second favorite. Also, another reason why this is my favorite, IT’S IN FREAKING LATIN. THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE THE LATIN LYRICS FIT IN THE SONG!
The Nut Rubber the main reason is Kirby is very basic when it comes to designing him so the only way to make him look different is modifying his brightness
I don't, at that time I was a little kid who assumed that Sonic was just another Nintendo character from the beginning until my older brother made me think that he was owned by Playstation because Sonic was named after Sony.
Funny thing, I only heard about Brawl's trailer because I was reading a web comic and they made a joke where a character's jaw dropped to the floor Looney Tunes style because Snake was in the next Smash Bros. I searched RU-vid for this trailer and was blown away. Next, morning I told my friends on the school bus that a new Smash was coming and Snake from Metal Gear was going to be playable. They laughed, I dared them to search and if I was lying I'd give them my dessert for a week, day later I won that bet.
"How is Snake in Smash?! He's never been on a Nintendo console!" They were Playstation enthusiast but enjoyed a good round of Smash. I then showed them The Twin Snakes and they couldn't believe a remake of Metal Gear Solid was made exclusively for a Nintendo Console.
I feel that even though this isn't the best smash game it by far had the best build up of all the smash games. During the wait and after the reveal of snake suddenly any character was possible. I think we all made a fake roster full of all are hopeful characters. May not be the best smash but I have the most memories with it.
Same here. My friends and I perused the Smash Bros website every day for updates before first period even with the constant delays. I didn't have a ton of feelings either way for the Melee engine, so I loved and played the crap out of the game. It's just that when Sm4sh came out hindsight allowed us to see that Brawl had a ton of weird gameplay quirks (tripping, a classic mode that dragged for far too long, a ton of borderline impossible trophy unlocks) that Sm4sh corrected
I still just love the way Link's Final Smash looks in this. The shot of him flying in, and then just the slowly shifting camera angle during the actual attack itself looks amazing.
It was E3, and the hype train just begins. Little did they know of the OP'ness, that was, Meta Knight. Little did they know of the friendships he would destroy.
I will confess this to everyone watching this video: Watching this trailer as a kinda 4 years old child,is how i knew about the existence of both Super Smash Bros and also half of the Nintendo's universe.
The only characters i knew about before Smash Bros Brawl were Mario Luigi Wario Sonic Peach Bowser Pikachu Squirtle Charizard Ivysaur Kirby King Dedede Meta Knight
0:10 Kirby: Oh boy! I can't wait for my new design! Also Kirby: That's weird, I do seem very familiar....Wait a minute....Why didn't my new game got released for the Wii?!
Fun Fact: During the gameplay sections, you see Kirby performing his old neutral aerial (hammer spin) and Meta Knight performing a neutral attack/jab out of a run, which is a mechanic officially introduced later in Smash Ultimate.
Conet I remember my friend showing me this in 2007 as well. I was like "Oh awesome! Then I asked him why is there like 35 seconds left" He just reply "shut up and keep watching" Then I see Campell and Snake talking about smash, then boom, Snake's death theme and the "Newcomer: Snake announcement" I was like: O_O I want. the game. NOW
+Raemonn Ramos I don't even play Melee and this game was garbage. Random tripping alone ruined it and the only REAL way to get around it is to play as Meta Knight and fly around.
The Smash Ultimate "Everyone Is Here" reveal trailer has nothing on this. I remember watching this trailer over and over and over again in anticipation of the game. I couldn't believe we were getting all these newcomers. ZSS, Meta Knight, Pit (he was as unknown to me as Marth in Melee, but I was still excited to use him), Wario. And then....Snake??? SNAAAAAAKE!!!! I lost my mind when I saw him leap out that box. A non first-party character?! We take these guys for granted now, but who would have thought? Watching this again brings back so many memories. It's a shame I ended up barely playing the game when it finally came out. I never played Smash 4, but I have a feeling Ultimate will return the series to its Melee era glory.
64: the one that started it all Melee: Competive party game Sakurai hoped for Brawl: Most ambitious and audacitious 3DS/Wii U: Oh, yeah that one Ultimate: a monument to the rest of the series and video games
