Even with his competitive "issues" this game is worth playing totally! Besides with Project M there isn't even room to complain about it. Brawl is the best looking (i like realistic stuff) The best story (of course) The best music (dude) And the best fun (Legacy XP) and fair competitive with the current mods. Brawl is a such a beatiful thing to enjoy even today.
and most people think that Call Of Duty and Fortnite is way more better than this shame on them they're so weak they can't handle an super amazing franchise like Super Smash Bros.
Actually going by the smash bros direct hosted by Nintendo themselves it looks like there might by a story mode after all so don't get your hopes down just yet. Were just going to have to wait and see.
Try not to cry... Anyways SSBB is a very criminally underrated game, yes I know they're critizing the gameplay, but Adventure mode was incredible, people only hated it because it's Brawl.
Correction. People didnt hate it. People hate it now. More specifically they hate it ever since smash 4 came out. When this game was out everyone loved it. If everyone really hated brawl no one wouldve been hyped for smash 4. But everyone and their mother shit their pants when smash 4 started getting trailers
Brawl gets lots of love nowadays. I think you'd be surprised to learn that. The game was disliked for its (garbage) gameplay, but most respected the adventure mode.
Sonic wasn't at the build up of the final boss and/or the ultimate attack from Tabuu. Sonic is a hero but not as big as Luigi, Ness, Kirby, and King Dedede
well, tbh, everyone despite king dedede's, ness' and luigi's efforts, sonic in my view is the bigger hero since what the trio did was more heroic in terms of reviving everyone, but would have gone to waste had sonic been a second too late, so even the trio would've been trophies, and no one would've saved them at all
@@jockson7574 Too bad Nintendo realized they don't need to try any more! (no offense I didn't like world of light I didn't like it that much and no offense to the singer but I don't like the theme song)
@@chillbizz74 the singer was amazing I just don’t like the song to be brutally honest I love ultimate and I hate it at the same time like ice cream with salt there’s things about it that make me excited by the at the same time there’s things in it that really piss me off in a reasons why I don’t have respect for Sakurai
FTFullerProductions Its because Nintendo focused a little bit more on the casual fanbase of the franchise, so the competitive fanbase got mad. This game will always have a special place in my heart though
This story was fantastic, and back when this first came out I was taken over by the unbelievable hype. I was nearly in tears during this ending, and then the track changed at 1:37 and I was hit by a freight train of nostalgia. I used to play the original Smash Bros literally every day as a kid, and I played Melee even more. That track change really took me back and I became way more emotional than I should have been. Great game.
As soon AS I saw Iwata's name at the end, I suddenly quoted, "We will miss you, Iwata. We'll see you in another castle." I give thanks to Iwata for his greatest work from the greatest games of all. R.I.P., Iwata.
1:47 Sucker punched me in the soul with nostalgia. The original SSB was my first video game EVER. I played it with my older brother when he got it used (gamecube had already been released by then,) and he used the red tunic Link. So, me wanting to be like my brother, I chose Link too. I was green tunic. I NEVER was able to beat him as a kid. I grew to like Link so much that my brother let me try another game, "one where you can play as Link all the time." The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time. So yeah. Needless to say I relived my entire fucking childhood by hearing that segment.
this song is the best thing in the world and it will always be it fucking made me tear up when it said "The End" man sooo many memories of this game it is the best this song makes you feel like a legendary warrior especially if you beat the game on insane i just love the people who made this and would freaking melt if i met them its my most favorite game and i love it and all the things in it from the graphics to the characters to the campaign it is phenomenal
14 years later, I was 8 when I played this game and is still one my favorite and it carried my childhood as a whole, I'll never forget you my friend happy 14 years
This is part of the reason why I loved Subspace Emissary so much, It had so many great characters coming together for a grand story. It was amazing. SSB4 is just a huge disappointment in that regard, and it makes me want to cry. Imagine having a story mode with Little Mac and Wii Fit Trainer making all those epic cutscenes even more epic!
Sakurai said he didn't add a story mode in Smash 4 because the cutscenes would just be ripped and put online. He says it's not a fun way to enjoy the cutscenes, thus no story mode. Hey, at least there's no tripping.
Imagine another cutscene like in Brawl invading the SubSpace. This time, it's every fighter, they've all allied against Tabuu and his forces. They all rush in, using their signature abilities, items, and everything. Sonic gets his Chaos Emeralds and becomes Super Sonic, each Pokémon Mega's, basically they all get their Final Smash. It's a full battle. They all rush in, fighting the minions, destroying them. Imagine that... Only if... Imagine if they made an announcement of a story mode. That would shock everyone.
I cried a good deal of tears when I heard the remix of Brawl's Main Theme in the credits...that part was beautiful. The fact that this amazing adventure (Subspace Emissary) just ended added more feelings to that moment.
the music at 3:51 onwards made me feel so sad that this was the end when I first beated Subspace. like "Wow... this was really the end. but at least at some point there will be another SMash Bros game." Sure, SMash 4 doesn't have Adventure Mode. but the character reveal trailers made up for it.
I really hope we get something like this next game. I think my biggest disappointment with Smash 4 was the lack of a story mode. It's really awesome knowing a story this good can be written...with no verbal communication or narration whatsoever.
I still remember when I first bought the Wii with SSBB when I was 8 and when I played SSBB i thought it was really good!!! I loved the game! I enjoyed playing that game and I think it has been months since I last played that game!! Man! I gotta play this game again!
I got this on Christmas Day(Possibly on my in 2013 B-Daywhen i was 7/8. The theme is now considered as a Christmas/Birthday theme since thats when i gotten it.
@@mikumika3819 It’s so bizarre going back to this video after seeing the opening to World of Light and just how comparatively empty this cliffside is. And it’s quite a few characters! It didn’t feel empty until they tried to pack like seventy in a single shot.
@@RNG_Lemon I don’t ACTUALLY believe that world of light happens right after subspace, all I did was point out the similarities between the end of subspace and the start of world of light
I have finished this game so many times and I still remember almost crying like a decade ago the first time I saw "The end" what a fucking masterpiece of a game.
can't say I like Brawl as a competitive game but it does have the most nostalgia and importance for me just watched the entire Subspace Emissary and now the credits, can't believe this shit still makes me cry
The realization after all these years hit me that this song goes perfectly with every character in Smash. Every character can have their story summarized by this one song.
I absolutely LOVED Brawl, but I think Wii U is a little bit way to off, coz It's just the fact how Sakurai took out Story mode for Wii U/3DS, it's just SO painful, I mean listen to the music in Brawl in SSE like doesn't it feel better then Smash 4? I personally enjoy Brawl more then Wii U/3DS just because of the "Take away" for the Story Mode. Anyone agree?
I TOTALLY AGREE! I give Brawl way more love than I do with Smash 4, I think Brawl was a fun game to play, the music was amazing, pretty good graphics and an awesome fun story mode!
A more direct translation: Hear the fame of that one Alone he rushed into his enemies and saved his country Hear the fame of that one He ran, destroying everything he touched Hear the fame of that one Hear the fame of that one Hope to everyone, also to me Fear to everyone, also to me That one is near to me That one is near to me They are allies to me Those who were once strong men and rivals And by contesting and by fighting fiercely Surely our splendor grows.
I blame the people who are addicted to competitive/ ranked online play. Its because of those people we didnt get another story mode as good as Brawl's subspace emissary. World of Light isnt a story mode its just a big event mode using mario party maps and stickers...... lets be honest!
This game WAS my childhood. When I first got it, I thought that 50 savefiles was so many. I ended up going through all 50. I’m sure some were incomplete, but everything about the SSE was so beautiful. The cutscenes, the music, the storytelling, the maps, the settings. It was truly a masterpiece that was timeless and never got old. The last time I played it was in middle school with a friend and we beat the whole thing. This was, and always will be, my favorite game.
The SSBB song is completely beautiful. No one can deny it. Each time I watch it, I get shivers. Like, for example, thinking of Link & Ganon. They're mortal enemies, but for this one story, they put their differences aside, and take out Tabuu. I find it amazing.
After finishing this game two years ago, it made me feel something in the chest. This whole game gives me feels, actually. Why isn't Ultimate's Story Mode something like this instead of fighting color swapped characters over and over and over?
To all: Watch this video again, but this time look at the text instead of the cutscenes on the right. You don't have to try to read all of the names, but just look at the titles above the names. All those jobs! SE Mode animators, storyboarders, character modeling, Dojo website development, music arrangers, producers and directors, voice actors (2:35), and so much more. Plus, the three people who appear in all Nintendo credits: Localizers Leslie Swan, Nate Bihldorff, and Bill Trinen.+Satoru Iwata
Whenever I watch these credts, especially towards the end, I am reminded what an amazingly beautiful and awesome game Super Smash Bros. Brawl is. The music really gets to me, and the SE cutscenes that are revisited and synched make it even more meaningful.
when i finally finished this game i stared at the 'THE END' screen for soo long in my head i was like "no, don't be over already!" this game has such an awesome soundtrack and not to mention a really good plot as well.
There's a reason you like this theme. It's composed by Nobuo Uematsu. He's a fucking legend, and master of music. There is none better at doing what he does, and this is undeniably the most epic anthem for the smash brothers anthology.
I've heard legends of that person How he plunged into enemy territory How he saved his homeland I've heard legends of that person How he traveled the breadth of the land, reducing all he touched to rubble I've heard legends of that person I've heard legends of that person Revered by many--I too, revere him Feared by many--I too, fear him Now, that person Stands at my side Now that person stands at my side Now my friends are with me Some of them were once heroes Some, my mortal enemies And as we face each other in battle, locked in combat We shine ever brighter
Im still mad that Sakurai took out adventure mode out of the 3ds/wiiu one, i mean at least he couldve done one for the wiiu it wouldve been fantastic, a sequel to the subspace emissary or an entirley new story, but nope -_-
*finishes Subspace Emissary* Me: Phew! That stage was hard! I wonder what's next? *This plays* Me: No! I can't of finished it already! I'VE JUST STARTED IT!!!!
so u had no indication that it was about to finish when all characters (excluding the unlockable ones) were united, or revived, or even entered the long tiring (but worth it) great maze including all bosses and enemies and locations seen before? or even the completion percentage being near 100%? or even tabuu being as hard as fuck? well i guess you have very high expectations and must be good a playing to think that another boss would top tabuu... but yh i was too sad it was over too soon :(
@Zaid Hareb Same could be said for Brawl. The obvious part is the song is in latin which i'm sure is not a common language. And at the end when they lyrics are translated, you can find a new found appreciation for the song.
@Zaid Hareb Brawl's song is more about the entire Smash series, It's about all these characters coming together both hero and villian. And I would argue that it does add to the story because Brawl's theme acts more like an outro to Subspace Emissary, Because that's exactly what happened in the story, They came together and through their conflict with Tabuu, They all became better people. Which goes along with the line "We shine ever brighter"
