The definition of a 10/10 game

Its difficult to describe what it is like to go from a console that could only handle a couple polygons to a console that could display the threads on marios jeans and on top of that offer a game that let you play as a video game villain (first time we ever got to play as Bowser or Ganondorf) and a handful of famous nintendo reps all in on game. This game really was amazing and the timing of its release was perfect.

As a child I never really realized how good music this game has and how well made it is. I'm so happy I randomly remembered this game now many years later and found this video, cause now I can finally sit back and truly enjoy this awesome music. So nostalgic, love it

Melee was my CHILDHOOD! I played Melee definitely a lot more than Brawl or even SSB4.

I loved this soundtrack growing up playing the hell out of this game. 18 years later, I now use this for my workout/training music while at the gym for a couple of hours. There's certain songs like Captain Falcon that just kicked ass, and makes you want to get that extra rep on the bench press, or run that extra mile.

This game was a big part of my life from my childhood all the way to adulthood. I am twenty five years old now and still play it every now and then with old friends from the past competitively and in honor of nostalgia.

Watching melee smash for years with Hbox, Mango, Armada, PPMD, M2K, etc. makes me very happy, and when Battlefield, Dreamland, FOD, FD, Yoshi’s Story, and Pokémon Stadium come on, I feel it

To me it seems like it would take so much skill to produce and record music that honors the classic themes from all these different titles while adding their own touch and originality to the works.

So many good memories, getting my older cousins to help me unlock characters when the family came over for christmas, beating friends, settling scores. And of course, still playing this game on my old gamecube with friends in university right up to this day. A timeless classic on a cult hit of a console.

They're all amazing, but the song for the temple stage is definitely one of my favorites. Lol, I have bad memories of the brinstar theme though, because my character was always getting burnt in that stage.

One of the best game soundtracks ever.

Melee's OST feels like it's all under the same "2000's futuristic" style (for a lack of better words). No other Smash title's OST fee's like it has a centralizing style besides Melee.

IMO this is the the best soundtrack in a smash game. All the songs are expertly remixed. Unlike some pretty weak ones in the other ones (not saying those ones are bad either)

The best thing about this soundtrack is they did not have the option to grab a giant collection of songs from each game's music library. They had to pick specific songs to remix that would capture the essence of the entire franchise the song was representing. And pretty much every song choice does that with flying colors. I love that we have a giant soundtrack in Smash these days. But such limitations are what made these songs so great!

I was 6 when this came out back in 2001....wow...brawl is my favorite out of the series butlooking back on Melee, Nintendo did an outstanding and prolific job...with the soundtracks...and i believe smash n64 had only come out 2 years before melee!

The musics are great . The game that I played long time ago it helps to organize my knowledge , in that way video games are nice . The texture is interesting in this one . The film in brawl was really nice to watch , the whole game was interesting and different .

When you are on the stage selection screen in súper Smash Bross Melee And you select a level and leave the button pressed *L* o *R* Upon entering the stage a soundtrack will sound different from the one that sounds when entering the stage without pressing L or R

When Nintendo was at his best when it came to sound quality, N64 NES SNES had great tunes but nothing beats the quality of their gamecube sound and the creativity that was put into it, not even their newer consoles.
