Actually she was gonna use her Up Smash to survive, in Smash 4 her Up Smash (If released at the right timing) gives in invincibility for as long as the up-smash it active
@@Charlie-hu9jq the light engulfing the universe happened a LONG while after the beams went out. if he had pikachu in his arms, he probably would've been outta there. i honestly believe that even if he couldn't time travel (Sonic CD, the signposts are gameplay mechanics and have nothing to do with it) or open a portal (Sonic Rush via Special Gimmicks) with his speed, he would have seen kirby also surving and parkoured/ramped up to him.
Sakurai also said that Bayonetta and Palutena could've easily survived Galeem but their movesets were too hard for a beginner Also, Bayonetta surviving also would've been controversial considering how broken she was in smash 4 and effectively killed the game and its meta. Who had the insane idea of adding a zero to death ladder combo that kills at 20%??? She was a league of her own, possibly even better than Smash Melee Fox She was frankly, too lore accurate to her actual games. Bro kills angels on a daily basis and killed God twice. And now we have a multiverse villain in the 3rd game and she STILL manages to defeat them (at the cost of her life i guess) Kirby also dies to falling apples in the game lmao, but aside from that, he and Bayonetta could probably solo the entirety of the roster
He’d still be captured though since they enveloped the entire universe and he can’t run into space (I don’t think he had the chaos emeralds on him either)
it's shown in smash canon wise that sonic normally has all the chaos emeralds on him, so in all reality, yes. he would be able to escape from light. Smash Canon Sonic is a mixture between Archie Sonic and Game Sonic
@@anomaly395 When sonic unleashes a final smash, the emeralds go around him. This would IMPLY that sonic had the emeralds before hand. Shown in the archie comics, since sonic had gotten so used to super sonic he was able to rival the speed of sound, thus allowing him to run faster than the speed of light.
Well i mean, who else? He literally has a warp star, the only other survivor could be snake because it would be funny if his box disguise actually worked
Late comment but it is canon lore that 3 gods protect link and if you look at the cutscene again he tanks 3 hits before he gets dusted. Another ex is when palutena gets hit then pit and pittwo loses power because palutena is the one that gave them power. Thats what makes ssb beyond great even the little details are put into consideration.
Triforce of Courage baby. I know it's the Hero of the Wild Link, who doesn't wield any of the triforce, but the 3 goddesses of Hyrule still protect and guide the Hero of the Wild iteration
9:23 that is one of the creepiest bad endings to a game. Seeing Mario collapse was terrifying as it wasn’t played for laughs. It doesn’t help that the scene with Dharkon looking at the screen intently has many unfortunate implications. It almost feels like Dharkon himself is taunting the player, telling them that they have failed to stop him. A really chilling example of how scary bad endings can truly be.
Isn't that what happened since Smash Bros 64 two hands messing with figurines, they used their imagination and thus a legendary series was born. Master Hand symbolises Creation Crazy Hand symbolises Destruction
I can’t believe that everyone could not escape from the light but Kirby flew on his star to space and survived and came back to save everyone from the Light.
i just noticed that we dont see King dedede or mete knight get taken, so if they had decided to make that a hint that the two survived, it would’ve been only the kirby characters that made it
@@tomic9252 But whats the point? They wouldnt of survived anyway. Meta knight is a smart character but he cant survive a literal homing ray of doom that kills him on the spot, and king dedede couldnt survive because he doesnt have anything he could use to combat it
@@Cashmoneylord9067meta knight CAN reach top speeds of over 8000x the speed of light, he’s probably able to reach other galaxies, multiverses(omg like the dead game)etc. I don’t know how much of this is true, but according to the fandom i guess he can
That Hylian Shield do be something else. I wonder how he got that shield guard up modifier on it, ehh, probably just saved and reloaded a bunch of times.
@@raelanimates8829 according to zelda lore the hylian shield was made by the gods to be basically invincible, the reason it breaks in botw and totk is probably balancing
i was pretty disappointed that there was no voice acting in any cutscenes besides the opening. it makes the characters feel so much more empty without the voices, that was one of my biggest issues w subspace emissary (although it was a much bigger problem in that for a couple orf reasons). even just having mario grunt when he falls to his knees would've made him feel a little more alive
Yeah the Final Battle kinda made up for it though, the campaign is long like 20 hours total, I like Subspace as much as the next guy but the Great Maze is literally padding.
I think too much voice acting with vastly different IP's being crossed over can become very cheesy quickly. Additionally, using restraint when characters talk has a certain Nintendo charm.
3:04 oh my Hylia, the hylian shield was able to block this thing, not even Palutena could, and Link also has the mirror shield which is even stronger and can repel atacks
3 actually. A nod to how the Hero of the Wild Link (botw version) doesn't wield any of the triforce like the past Links, but he's protected by the 3 goddesses of the triforce. Hence why he took 3 on the shield before going down
Just for the hell of it, here's how I think the rest of the base game fighters (non-DLC) were obliterated in the intro: -Mario, Yoshi, Peach: Mario hops on Yoshi and they speed off. On the way, Mario grabs a startled, frozen Peach by the hand and pulls her onto Yoshi before the light decimates all three. -Donkey Kong, Little Mac, Incineroar: DK roars and pounds his chest while Little Mac, in a fighter's stance, shields his face with his gloves and throws a punch. Incineraor leaps into the air above them, roaring and attempting to claw at the light before they're all hit by a beam each. -Dark Samus, Mega Man: Both fight different beams of light next to each other, shooting at the rays with their respective guns before they're defeated. -Fox, Wolf: Both pilots hop into their individual arwings. In flight, Wolf abruptly cuts off Fox, causing a beam of light to vaporize Fox from behind. Wolf looks back and attempts to speed up, but is ambushed by another beam from the side. -Luigi, Daisy: Luigi cowers and trembles in fear with his head in his hands, while Daisy next to him summons Toad in front of her. A light attack hits them each. -Ness, Lucas, Pichu: All three simultaneously launch themselves upward in an electric flash; the PSI boys utilizing PK Thunder and Pichu performing Agility. Three different beams of light catch each one. -Jigglypuff, Olimar: Jigglypuff balloons up and floats away into the sky. Olimar runs away with a horde of Pikmin following him until a group of them grab ahold of Olimar and propel him upward. Olimar grips onto a chain of Pikmin dangling beneath him as he catches up to Jigglypuff until both are hit by a light attack. Each of the Pikmin's ghosts can be seen floating away after they're destroyed. -Ice Climbers: The duo utilize Belay; as Nana is launched into the air, she is suddenly hit by a light beam and vaporized. With the tether that connected them now detached, Popo screams and claws wildly at the air in a panic as he falls, before being struck himself. -Marth, Lucina, Roy, Chrom, Ike: All five are lined up in a row and draw their blades simultaneously, ready to face the light together. They proceed to dash forward valiantly, each slashing a beam of light until they're eradicated one-by-one. -Young Link, Toon Link, Robin: Young Link draws his bow and arrow and aims at the light while his fairy companion flies wildly around him, while Toon Link next to him unleashes his boomerang. Robin nearby sends out a Thoron attack. As soon as all three projectiles are released, a beam of light rushes forth and evaporates them all. -Ganondorf & Corrin: Ganondorf transforms into his Demon King form and Corrin transforms into his dragon form, both emitting a massive roar, but are eliminated before they can attack. -Mr. Game & Watch, King K. Rool, Isabelle: Isabelle runs in circles in a panicked frenzy while Mr. G&W jumps erratically side-to-side next to her. K. Rool nearby attempts to escape on his propellerpack. A beam of light catches all three. -Meta Knight, Ridley: Ridley roars and flies around, dodging several light attacks and expelling plasma from his mouth, while Meta Knight similarly swirls around him in the air, slashing at the light with his sword. A light beam hits them each. -Wario, Pac-Man: Wario attempts to ride away on his motorcycle. Pac-Man reverts to his classic form and races off, trailing closely behind Wario, before a beam of light hits them both. -King Dedede: Dedede is quickly whisked away on a palanquin carried by several Waddle Dees before the light catches him. -R.O.B., Bowser Jr.: Both launch themselves into the air, with R.O.B. using Robo Burner and Jr. in the Junior Clown Car. Each are hit with a beam of light. -Shulk: Shulk activates the Speed Monado Art and runs off, narrowly dodging light attacks using his foresight. He miscalculates the next light attack, however, causing him to stumble, and a second beam of light pierces through him. -Ryu, Ken: The street fighters are back-to-back, both in a fighter's stance and each facing an approaching beam of light head-on. They throw a punch and a kick respectively until the two beams meet in the middle, vanishing them both. -Cloud: Cloud pauses to focus on charging his Limit Gauge, then screams and unleashes a massive energy beam from the Buster Sword at an oncoming light attack. The light vaporizes the beam and overwhelms Cloud. -Simon & Richter: Both fighters battle side-by-side, with Simon wielding his whip and Richter flinging a silver cross until both are subdued.
You know, I have a theory that Galeem was the actual leader of the Subspace Army while Tabuu was another minion working for him. For starters, notice how the characters are on the same cliff seen at the end of the Subspace Emissary. This could be that the characters have discovered that the subspace army had a secret big bad behind it all. Also, Galeem and Tabuu share many similarities such as being associated with light and having the goal of rewriting the world in their image. Galeem is basically continuing off where Tabuu left off which was rewriting the world in his image.
you know, I wondered how non fighting type of characters would act in a story mode. Now I see, Villager is panicking, Duck Hunt is scared, and Wii Fit Trainer continues getting fit.
@@Dusk_Mightyena it's the only way Sonic could've died with all the other characters. Otherwise, he will just outrun it and you'll have to show his death when the universe gets destroyed. [it also fits his character to save helpless tiny animals in need because that's what he does in the classic games]
He tried to save Pika. It's understandable that Pika can run that fast (agility, quick attack, double team, the speed stat in Pokemon) but Sonic was definitely running slow to save him
Holy hell why haven’t sonic and Pokémon had a crossover of any kind whatsoever? Sonic and Pikachu make just as good of a team as Mario and Sonic maybe give them an anime
Father Balder really should have been a boss in this game along with Doctor Eggman, missed opportunity Nintendo, Galleom was the only rehash and Giga Bowser, only Galleom should have been replaced, Metal Gear Rex should have been the boss instead.
I like how sonic was one of a few fighters that could have actually avoided the light or whatever it's called but only got caught trying to help someone else
Those CGI cutscenes are awesome! If there would be more of them... My heart has been broken when I saw Sonic and Rosalina being caught, especially knowing how kind they are and that they will be free only after a long moment... And those cutscenes where everyone dies are just sad and appalling...😢
I'll never forget the moment when Nintendo pulled an infinity war. First it was our favorite Marvel characters, and now our favorite childhood Nintendo characters as well. 😭
Wanna hear my theory on Hero's trailer? It takes place in the ending where Dharkon wins and instead of everyone dying a few survived. Link and the Heros where some of them. So Link is fighting his possessed friends until Hero saves him.
@@wayverleesoulsong it's just gets better! The Sepheroth trailer could be in Galeam's ending! It's actually more likely since in his ending he doesn't need to absorb Master Hands to send the wave of light and that heppens in Seperoth's trailer
A thing that gets me a little unsatisfied is not being able to see the characters after we get the true ending, instead we got to see sprits just forming something, I just want to see them all celebrate.
I’m an ice climbers main so I have bias toward them but in the Galeem cutscene in world of light if ice climbers were there, I have 2 ideas 1. They see light coming toward them, and popo throws nana up using up b (belay). Then popo gets struck by the light, nana screams, and then the light hits nana. 2. Again popo uses belay and gets struck, but instead nana disappears because in the game if popo dies, nana just vanishes
tbf it IS called "the WARP star". Nobody else could've survived. Palutena and Bayonetta couldn't because heaven and hell are in the same universe. Super Sonic couldn't survive either because it's never shown to warp Sonic to other dimensions in the games. Sure the chaos emeralds can warp you back in time as shown in Sonic 06 but Sonic still would not have survived even if he went back in time. Link can't just travel to the dimension of the goddesses, he needs their premission.
@Chuck [The Yellow Angry Bird] also Sonic couldn't really go to space to save himself as the plant was covered in the light. And the light killed the triforce goddesses (hence why the Hylian shield took 3 hits, because the triforce goddesses protects this version of Link, the Hero of the Wild), so Link couldn't do that even if he wanted to. He could've done it before the light, but that isn't really fitting for the Hero Link is
Honestly, I get why some people were disappointed at WoL when compared to Subspace Emmisary, but the way I see it, it was either this or nothing. It's already a huge task to even bring all these characters together in a single game, I can't even imagine the contract hell it would be to write a more extense story with all of them. Smash has deals with many different gaming companies, and all of them could be picky about many things that could difficult the development
Yep. Me too. I was hoping Kirby wouldn't be the ONLY one who survived(maybe he could've grabbed a friend or two while he was riding his star like in Brawl), but at least SOMEONE survived the ordeal. Imagine if EVERYONE was consumed by Galeem. Then all would have been lost.
You know it’s fun jumping from one hyperfixation to another when you notice the main character of your current hyperfixation standing in the crowd Tldr: Me going crazy when I noticed tiny Sonic in the bottom right corner standing next to Inkling
The Light beams to Sonic, Pikachu, Captain Falcon, and Falco: WHERE YOU GOING? The 4 fighters trying to escape: Uhhh, to get the milk? The beams: I DON'T THINK SO!
Once the two evil spirits are defeated all the fighters cheered for Kirby and went to peaches castle to celebrate and the spirits who died form Galeem and Dharkon long ago go to heaven
@@RoachCatJr no where. But the circumstances are the same as if we were to be nuked. No matter how hard we try to escape, we will all get caught in the catastrophy.
Chaos X ur right lol. kinda existentially depressing when i think bout it. everything i've done, or other people have done, could jus be erased in a matter of minutes
The fact that Link could not only block the light with the hyrulian shield, but cut straight through it is extremely impressive and shows how powerful Link actually is
The intro literally ended smash brawl, on the same cliff If you saw the bright light at the final brawl cutscene, it probably signalled Galeems entrance
Everyone is talking about everything except the ending where light and dark die. Someone explain the ending; why are the spirits not going back in their bodies ? Instead, they are making some sort of weird spirit tornado portal star thing.
