Crazy thing is Luigis potential for shield pressure kinda forces the opponent into a rock/paper/scissors. Now im exaggerating a bit but if u think about it Luigis cyclone will trade with most anti airs or win out, not saying theres no room for contention though. The options left shield, sidestep or roll make it safe to mix in the tomahawk. The idea of cyclone, nair, dair is really what allows this option to be viable. Luigi can throw out several moves without cool down, thats why his pressure on shielding opponents is among the best in smash4.
Hyper Heatnix32 But his fall speed is what makes it ridiculous. Yes he has very good options (excluding cyclone. I’m not sure why pressuring shield with a short hop cyclone would even be considered an option) it takes him so absurdly long to get to the ground that the opponent might be able to just hit him after he realizes what he’s going for.
Man elegant went a long way. Being the best luigi, and con con being 2nd is still super crazy like put it into perspective. Hundreds of luigi players and these 2 are the best. Crazy.
Well, given how I use n-air and z-air, I guess I'm doing something right as ZSS. I still need to work on my off-stage game and set-ups, though. Great job, Nairo! That ending was funny!
Against Luigi? I'm not surprised. Luigi can juggle and box Bowser out like nobody's business. Combining that with the fact that Bowser needs to land grabs to get anything productive going and Luigi is an annoyingly hard character to catch, Bowser is going to have a bad time. The only thing that I might see Luigi struggling with is his short range compared to Bowser, but his speed should be more than enough to make up for it since Bowser's fastest move is Whirling Fortress, and even that isn't a terrific move in terms of speed (Frame 7, I think?).
Bowser beat Luigi OR he goes even maybe (actually i have some doubts about this MU, BUT is not Luigi favour, i'm sure of that) Bowser wins neutral, how is Luigi hard to catch? Is way easier to grab a Luigi than many others characters. Like you said Luigi has a short range and because of that loose neutral, expecially considering Bowser can tough guy Luigi fire balls at low-mid percents. When Bowser wins neutral, the MU can't be bad considering he literally just need 3 or 4 neutral wins to end a stock. Bowser disadvantage is very bad but so is Luigi, Luigi air speed is very bad and considering how fast Bowser is in the ground, he can literally grab and regrab Luigi multiple times withouth lettin him landing for an intere stock. If Nairo does not use Bowser is simply because ZSS does better in the MU and is his main lol.
