I think it cuts out due to current limiting which Hobbywing and rebranded Hobbywing ESC's do when there is over current, voltage spike or voltage drop i think Spektrum ESC's are just Hobbywing based although you might be right maybe it needs a firmware update. O man I love how this trucks runs can’t wait for spring time weather which is a few months off yet. 😅. I opened my truck up today and it’s a beauty these videos don’t do the looks justice the truck and it’s pacakging this time around is amazing. The box looks great. Even the Arrma branded tape that closes the radio in the air bubble packaging was a nice touch! Nice look at the truck Jay and I wish we had that weather here ☃️🇨🇦
Nice video Jay, it looks really good. I ran both of my 6S Kratons today, i have a V5 BLX with the speed 15T pinion and upgraded ESC & motor fans (stock Firma system) and i also have an EXB roller with the Castle MMX8S / 1520 1650kv combo with a 20T pinion and both are stupid fast & good fun. I did break an upper front arm in the EXB 😆. Easy fix, that's the game we play.
For speed runs you end up fighting wind resistance. Weight isn’t a big factor. Also you can run two of the same batteries in parallel and get less voltage drop. You’re dipping down to the esc lvc on your hard amp pulls.
Now thats a sharp RC... Yes the cutting out would really annoy me tbh that needs sorted... Still wouldn't put tme off getting one tho..... Looking forward to seeing it run at the pk.
Great content my man! Loving your videos! I just threw the speed gear on mine today to shoot some video and I cant believe I am saying this but I kinda prefer the rig on the stock gear. I could NOT keep my nose down at all even off road! LOL Glad to see what it does as I lost my SKY RC last week and have a new one on the way. @LosihoTTT I may have jumped to conclusions there and see the IC5 Spektrum connectors later on but at 59 seconds in I can clearly see a deans connector. Maybe for an accessory.
Completely disable avc and see what happens with that shutdown. I mean disable through the receiver itself and the remote sequence. AVC has some throttle management stuff associated with it. If that isn’t it, I’m looking forward to hear your findings after contacting Arma.
Your lvc cutoff is kicking in due to those zee lipos I had a few sets and they seem to voltage sag a lot...try gens ace bashing 120c 6800s and you will be good to go
These same issues I am dealing with both my new BigRock and Mojave. Finally after doing the update successfully several times, the BigRock is no longer doing it and the Mojave is better. I had to also turn on the Dx5c radio in addition to the esc when performing the update in order to get the update to start. When I only turned on the esc and not also the radio, the update would not work for some reason. I am still not convinced the update completely solves these problems. It also turned out that my BigRock also had a faulty Receiver which complicated things some more. Again, it seems better now with both brand new vechiles but still not perfect. Arrma supposedly performed the update on all the new Kraton's prior to releasing them, because of the BigRock's issues. Slightly frustrating because they are great vechiles.
Definitely amp draw due to LVC. This has been a spektrum issue for years. You could also try a larger pack. That SMC 10800 looks phenomenal. I personally still run *DV EXTREME 6500* or larger for speedruns. Definitely looks like a *MAX8 G2* is gonna be needed for successful speedruns 😏 *spektrum cutouts*
I stopped running the stock esc and put in max 6. I think the kraton is at the max weight for that system. Thats way it comes with a small pinion. Max 6 helped me
Ya man if you stored your battery in under 40 deg F garage, ur not gonna get full power. Thats too cold for full power, thats why the 16T run got a bit quicker the second run as the battery warmed up.

Over amping and shutting off. Gearing too high. Can ease into it and maybe fool it into not shutting down other than that it's the overconservative Hobbywing esc they use. Good stuff bro!

Those top motor mount screws are impossible to remove. i stripped down half the buggy to remove and blow torch them off. now swopped out with titanium screws.
When you ride them on street you don’t wanna wear that you don’t wanna drive with them tires cause you wanna wear them out Jermaine really for dirt and like the grass and all that you should get yourself some street tires that’s what I’m doing for my sledge, cause I’m telling my my own Does sledgehammer tires I’m wearing them out so fast that’s why I ordered a set of street tires and I didn’t get them yet but I bet you I would notice a difference and I’m doing I’m doing like 60 and I guarantee I wanna do like 10 more miles What the hell I want to be doing 10 more miles faster when I’m doing now said doing 60 I wanna be doing 70 and I didn’t even put the high gear in it yet so if I did that I guarantee you probably do 80 tops so you know me I was you what are you said a couple set of street tires cause I’m getting the Same exact vehicle you’re getting but I wanna get straight tires for that too. I just ordered the big rock I wanna keep them tires just for dirt and and grass and and I wanna get street tires too so I have street tires on each vehicle and they will have their own street, their own street tires I’m not gonna take them off and put them on this vehicle and all that I rather just buy a set for each vehicle then I know cause you know dude , the wear and tear difference to me I think it’s stuff like that so don’t don’t I don’t care if I’m spending the extra money it’s worth it to me in my eyes and my little MAXX2.0 I wanna end up buying three tires for that little monster two so and I got I got the 25 gear… and the 46 gear so I can imagine that I just ordered the 25 gear I didn’t get out and ride it yet. I went out and bought the four battery for it. I was running it mostly on three ass and it was still all right on three ass man, but I’m like this is the fore ass bat RC so I might as well get the pack and put it in here so that’s what I did so I can’t wait I’m getting the end of this month I got like 1315 more days I say 13 May pay for and a day or two days shipping IN HAND so I got like 15 more days I can’t wait man. I’ve been waiting for this for a while with my big rock then after that, I’m getting my crayon next the following month I’m getting my crayon. I can’t wait on that one. Can’t wait.
Don't know exactly where you are located. But we are doing a run later today at Pitner Rd. dog park in Acworth. There is a nice mountain bike area that is great for rc. Budget is not an issue. Nether is the place I am going to run the rc car. I just want to have fun and enjoy the rc car. The only problem is to make my mind up on the 1/5 or 1/8 scale kraton exb, hahahaha.
@@Frikkietube will my choice would be the exb. A lot easier to carry around and with the 16 tooth they can do standing backflips. The xrt can never do that. Plus it's going to be a little cheaper on batteries and you'll have a lot of hop-ups for it as well. I will go with that first and then later if you still want something bigger like the xrt. If you want to support the channel there's a link in the description to purchase exb. There's also one leak for the xrt to if you decide to go that route
