Started climbing in the late 70's (telco lineman). After watching this, it's hard to believe we free climbed for so many years without some one coming up with a "fall protection" device like the Buck Squeeze sooner. Very nice rig.
Nice video! Can someone please tell me how are you picking up the super squeeze so easily? I'm roughly a similar build to those guys but I'm having difficulty picking up that belt... it gets stuck very often and makes me waste too much energy on it. I've had 2 hours of practice on a 45ft pole and my biceps and lats are extremely sore. Any info will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Art You may have the inner strap too tight on the pole Try letting some slack out of the grab at the pole but let your inner strap still touch the pole and make sure the mark on the carabiner and the clear on the other side of the pole line up at 3 and 9 I'm a smaller build and don't have any problem, I use the EZ-SQUEEZE but the only difference there is the lever grab in the grab at the pole, other than that, they're identical Maybe let the inner strap be off the pole just a touch, barely enough to get the tip of your finger in the gap
As you step with your strong leg lean in in one motion. This way you’re not using your arms to pull yourself in. You do it all on one motion. Also I have the inner rope lanyard style. I think it moves up the pole easier
