The Genesis version had awful music. The SNES version wasn't much better with the weird exception of Fei Long's theme.

The SNES version also did not have the Near KO themes either. They just sped up the regular theme when the damage bar got low enough to trigger the Near KO theme in all the other versions.

PAL/JP instruments of SNES SSF2 sound better than US ones. They changed them about for no real reason...

They actually did have a reason: to fit more voice samples. The Japanese version has higher quality music at the cost of missing more voice samples. Personally, I think the Japanese version had the better compromise of the two, but that's a subjective matter. And this was one of the few tracks on the Genesis version I actually quite liked.

@@SolidSonicTH Fei Long's theme, Cammy, Dee Jay, Ryu, Ken, T.Hawk, Saget, Guile were good IMO. Most of that 40mbits went to the PCM voice samples and the extra graphics that they had to redraw for this version compared to SF2' CE. But I agree, this is exactly how the music should've sounded like with the Yamaha YM2612 sound chip.

Agreed! i never understand why Capcom made poor remixes in the MD SSF2 when they made great remixes on SF2 SCE :/

They seemingly tried porting everything from SNES resources, rather than CPS2 and did a lazy job of that.
