People often forget (or just conveniently ignore) that for a period of 3 years in the late 90s V8 Supercars were not the kings of the Australian motorsport landscape they are today. Back then the V8s were considered to be a dying breed and 2 Litre touring cars from Europe were considered the future.
Obviously things didn't turn out that way, but just because a concept ended up on the wrong side of history doesn't mean we should ignore it.
This then is the tale of a time when the Europeans invaded Aussie heartland before eventually being overthrown.
