Hello. I really liked watching all your videos of your passages! I used to work on superyachts and its an epic career to have! Made me smile plus a little tearful but happy ones!
I love the fitness challenge! Need to look into something similar for land locked trips on the way to Ft. Lauderdale dor STWC. You show a lot of crew interaction, which really helps to get a sense of how close you all are. I look forward to more of the same.
I've been on lock down in California pretty much since April, I've watched more television and Netflix then I care to admit. However this RU-vid video is the absolute best thing I've watched so far. Thanks for sharing. I would cross the Atlantic with you guys anytime.
Quite different than my experience in my late teens/early 20s crossing the Atlantic as a Marine aboard a Navy ship, this looks like a dream compared to that! Accommodations and food are much better here, trust me lol
That was a blast watching this video. I wish there were more like this on youtube. Thanks for sharing. Just one questions I kept asking myself through the video. Where the grown ups at? ☺☺☺
Question for you: the freshwater aboard, for bathing, cooking and washing down the boat every morning.... is it from a storage tank pre-filled before the trip? Or did you have some sort of de-salinization system aboard? Great video!! Ignore these fuckers that have an issue with your crew and the language!!
Thanks for the support! When yachts are in port they nearly always take on water from the dock and fill tanks as much as possible, as you don’t really want to make water in port.
This yacht has maybe 2 or 3 watermakers so its making fresh water 24/7, the other answer you received was badly written and never gave you the correct answer.
Isn't the South African lady also crewing on another boat in the arctic? - or is this the same boat...in any case, you guys make it look easy. but I know it's also really hard work. I'm assuming the owners are not on board for the crossing?
Serious question....do any members of the crew ever hook up when you’re all stuck on a boat for this long together? Just casual hook ups to keep the pipes from backing up lol
No but we have Vsat satellite internet connection to the boat which all the crew can connect to via WiFi. It’s not fast at all, it’s hard to really describe how slow it is. A 5 minute vlog could take anything up to 26 hours to upload.
I enjoyed the video. It looks romantically Idyllic. I think I can manage my life with a vicarious experience from this and similar videos. Was it by design that no one other than crew members were in the video? Thanks for posting this. Thumbs up from # 188 like.
Glad you liked the video. I try to include all crew that want to take part as often as I can but sometimes hard to feature everyone. Also with the different departments makes it harder to cover everyone’s day to day.
First of your videos I’ve seen Tom, throughout I was waiting for some ace external shots of the yacht but nothing. If it wasn’t for the bridge you could have been in a hotel. You guys need to get a decent drone, your in the perfect position to get some fabulous footage of the yachts your on whilst at sea and port. Just saying.
I shoot mostly with point and shoots or gopros I’ve looked at other audio options but struggling to find a good solution. It’s high on my list of things I know I need to improve on
What a shame we didn't even see one external shot of the boat. What a waste of time. I agree, if not for the shots of the bridge, we could have been watching a video about a hotel! Please also check the spelling of Antigua in the closing credits, pretty dire not to have spotted that!
Ok, the fitness challenge was a nice novelty, but the voyage and the boat are the important thing. I didn't hear enough about that, so, this video was a waste of time.
Not for children, too much party attitude and very much unessesary swearing.................mainly from females. Choose your modern day crew very carefully.
