I sold my push 2 and got the novation launchpad pro MK3. U don't have the screen but it's still really good to work on with both moss and the standard script. And plus the lp3 is not as bulky as the push. I love my launchpad and bitwig
I’d urge everyone who saying that your current daw is dead because bitwig is on discount and you will switch because you heard many positive things about it. First use it for proper production, not what they demo for you. 3 and a half tracks in a project. Try to make a full on track and mix it. You will quickly realize that under the shiny packaging there are a tons of problems. There are little to none basic tools expected in modern daw. And I don’t think anything is going to be ever done about it. Good example is mixer. It was claimed that it was recently updated. But in fact what has been done is just a rearrangement and ui improvement. No vca, no busses, no manager. So I urge you to test first, read more on forums (be careful as something like KVR is full of blind fanboys) and only then switch to it if you happy. Personally I used it and supported for 10 years as a main driver. Now it’s downgraded to a synth only. Because in a nutshell it is exactly what it is. Good synth with basic daw functional.
i fully produced and recorded a psych metal song and some other projects in it and i prefer it to protools or logic! it has been such a straightforward experience for me compared to the industry standards. just offering a different opinion : )
It's getting better, you make it seem way worse than it actually is imo. I'm a Reaper user and I also use Bitwig. Both exceed in their own fields (Reaper with audio editing and mixing/mastering and Bitwig with its performative and creative tools). Suggesting that Bitwig is just a synth with basic DAW functionalities is a comical exaggeration. But yeah, people should check it themselves.
you need to study Bitwig more, just like switching to a mac from windows you should not search for the "windows way" to do it on mac you should not search for the "pro tools" way to do in Bitwig. that whole VCA thing is a mess and ancient way of doing it, Bitwig has several, better ways. there is like an infinite way to do what you want seriously.
It's a DAW that doesn't allow you to bounce mono tracks, It's very frustrating to me that they added plugins and didn't fix their lack of professional features or their midi implementation which needs a lot of work to be on par with other DAW's, I have no idea what their dev team is thinking but they're clearly delusional.
