I think I'd actually go with possibly the early 80s as my favorite. I actually plan on doing a video on why I love the Legion so much but two of the main reasons is it has a massive roster, allowing for 3 or 4 storylines to run concurrently (in the 50s' and 60s' they would only have a single storyline) and with a near equal distribution of men and women you could have a lot of relationship building story arcs which I really enjoyed. Almost every other superhero team is male dominated. They haven't yet started any relationships between characters.
I have to say that I think Superboy was a funner series than Batman in the Silver Age. Having read through most of the Batman Golden Age, the stories were frequently repetitive and boring which is why I started with Spectre and Dr Fate and not Batman.
