This might be the most obscure game we've done (despite it selling 1.5 million copies). Maybe more of an audio/visual art piece than a game, we dive in to the short and experimental world of Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP and see what was 'cutting edge' in 2011.

I wanted to love that game back then. Art and especially sound design is really amazing, but alas... I got stuck and didn't know how to progress, hehe.

This game feels very similar to another I played a few years back called The Way: Remastered. They both have that same vibe of a mysterious, atmospheric journey with a kind of cryptic story but in a way that keeps you hooked. Also less focus on action and more puzzle and atmosphere. The pixel art is also very very similar style but gorgeous in both. Really great episode as usual by the way!

This was such an interesting episode! I've seen this game's art a bunch of times but have never known what it was from. I think viewing it from the perspective of contemporary art is definitely the way to approach something like this because just from the sounds of it I would have no desire to play through this game but I definitely want to look into its music and visuals.

When will you do your next series because I loved watching you two play through bloodborne it’s what got me into playing that game watching you oli play and joe guiding him through with lore about the game and so on I’d love to see you guys play through another game like that ?

Oh the iPod Touch.... That definitely brought me back to when I used to play Angry Birds and Doodle Jump on it, I wouldn't have known anything about Sword and Sorcery EP, haha! I never got the EP part for an album, that's a cool touch! I did get goosebumps when I first got one of the triangle pieces with how the music builds there, too, I thought that was great. I hope to finish the game someday (I'm mid-way through Session 3 I think), but The Plucky Squire's out and I've fallen in love with it, so sometime after that! :P

Had never heard of this game, but I am a big fan of point and click adventure games. The art style is very intriguing to me. I plan to give this a go at some point. Of course, the tradition of moving up Doom and Prey every episode continues. It's going to be on top by the time this is all over.
