WOW! How could I forget to throw pricing in the video...This starts at $213,195 and the price for this test vehicle was $256,125. Yes, we all know you can buy several C8 Corvettes for that price but would you ever consider a McLaren GT over something like a Bentley Continental GT or and Aston Martin DB11? The fact that this McLaren is cheaper than an Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is kind of crazy! (SIDE NOTE) ALMOST AT 70,000 SUBSCRIBERS!! NEXT GOAL IS 100,0000! A McLaren GT is an interesting concept, but the execution is still suspect, IMO. My understanding is that customers of McLaren Cars are still suffering with shoddy workmanship, limited parts availability, poor service from an extremely small dealer network, and engineering solutions that may be a bit too fragile for daily driver or grand touring duty. (Not that Bentley or Aston-Martin are much better, though.) To me, touring in the grand manner includes not worrying about being broken down miles from home, waiting two months for parts, and arranging for alternate transportation home while fretting over the towing and long-term storage of my quarter-million-dollar exotic. While I am not the customer for this kind of car, if I was, I would look at a new Acura NSX or a used Lexus LFA, but I would probably dial it down a bit and go for a Lexus LC 500 or Nissan GT-R. The Japanese seem to be the only ones who can make a legitimate "everyday exotic." (I am not picking on British marques; the German and Italian auto manufacturers have similarly poor reputations in this category.) Putting aside whether you can include the new Corvette in this category, I consider the C8 suspect until proven reliable, given GM's history of using its customers a beta testers. Congrats on 70K subscribers.
Forrest's Auto Reviews king 👑 ok how do u become a car reviewer like I want to do it I already have a knowledge of cars and I’m entertaining behind a camera but what are the steps u took to do this and how do u get these cars?
The most detailed and informative video about this car I have ever seen. Your other videos are so great also. I think that this is the best suited car for me as i'm entering the car world. And now thanks to you my decision is made for this car. Keep doing the great work. God Bless You and Your Family.
Greetings from England. Great vid. Just noticed Doug DeMuro reviewing what looks like the exact same car! Press car I assume. looks great and sounds even better.
I just reviewed a friends TT RS to start my foray into car reviews. I had a blast but I can only imagine what something like this must feel like. Good to see you getting these levels of cars now. Crazy how quick you've grown. Congrats!
Forrest's Auto Reviews yeah it’s just got the one review right now. Going to use that to try to convince some local dealers (Las Vegas area) to work with me. But thanks that would mean a lot. First video isn’t perfect, learned a lot when I went to edit but that will improve. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ah51pLlFc_4.html
McLaren really is trying to make several versions of one base ... Which was introduced as a sportcar. For that money I would pick the C8, leaving enough money for a luxery Hyundai/Genesis (like the one you reviewed earlier) Weird exhaust system also. And why a track mode if it's a GT, a Grand Tourer? Great video as usual 👍🏽
Had a good few continental gts, supersports, just sold me Aston Martin DB11AMR,and got a GT Mclaren coming next week,I don’t get to exited about cars these days but I am really looking forward the the Mclaren 😊
McLaren is not a new company, it's a British institution. Anyone recall the McLaren F1 one of the pioneers of a 200mph Super Car from the 90's, not to mention their prominence in Motorsport the peak being Formula 1. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McLaren_F1
@@investigativereports1622 nah, I'm 26 and I aways prefer front engine rwd for GT cars, now if we're talking about Supercars, McLarens looks really good.
