You don't have to copy past for snippets. Just typing in RCB would have converted the text to the saved text.

The thing is it's not just 1 case. It's a magical bag of efficient utilities and there's a decent amount of depth once you learn about command scripts, quick links, etc.

good video but I'd recommend learning vim with the VScode extension for copying and moving text around

What about VIM for Xcode? Does anyone here use it? The problem is, it’s not fully implemented. And you can’t use the period to repeat commands!!

I love Raycast, but I don't think I would use it for code snippets that I could easily have in my editor. I use snippets for things like my email/Jira signature, etc. I use RU-vid Music for my music, so I'll have to see if there's an extension for it. I expect there is, but if not, building extensions for Raycast is also a really nice experience. It's just React and TypeScript, and they have some good templates to quickly get started.

Is it a good idea to use Raycast on a MacBookPro 2015 (Core i5 2 cores 8 GB RAM), does it consume a lot of resources? I hope someone can answer this question.

This is really nice, but for window management, I think a full window manager like amethyst or yabai are better

I’ve used a few Mac OS window management tools and they’re all pretty good, but I just really love having all of these different tools inside one app.

yabai for me is untouchable -- no disabling SIP needed for me. but it's a whole different paradigm and workflow and mindset that you have to learn and adapt ..... it can easily be toggled on and off with skhd too... so i can just easily go floating or stage manager mode if i really want or need to...
