" That's how you can tell it's running" Derek just blew right through putting a blower on a vet he got out of a field the week before, plus fixes the front brakes and wires in an electric fan plus installs a rev-limiter and gets it all done in time to compete, gotta love the effort, you could tell he was tired but the blower definitely added some much needed power. The tip in was as good as could be expected but then he was able to hit second and keep them wheels spinning and when he came to a stop with the wheels smokin, it was so thick in the car, I don't know how he was able to bear it, you couldn't see him 2 feet away and then grabbing the American Flag while not being able to see and flying it out the t-top was awesome, then catches on fire stops and runs out of the car waving the flag not even stopping to check out the fire, that was awesome. That is the most animated I have ever seen this laid back dude! I watched the whole vette project from start to finish in one setting and really enjoyed it. The ending of this video with the burnouts and the flag was amazing. Made me proud to be an American and seeing you wave the flag being proud to American was great. This was probably one of my favorite episodes!

Your videos take me back to wrenching on my old cars back in the 90s. :-) I was dirt poor, but I had an intake, Holy 4BR, an electric fan and a trans cooler that I picked up at the autoparts store. I made my camaros / trans-ams the best they could be, on the cheep! The best one was the run-down 84 trans-am with the 5 speed. The previous owner just let it rot. I tore off all of the emissions crap, washed the engine down 3 times, and swapped all the Camaro parts onto that and the "ONE EYE FIRE-CHICKEN" was born. You'd hear that 4BR coming from a mile away. I snapped the shifter off in a race and replaced it with a deep wall socket and a 3/8 extension.. I called it the ratchet shifter. The kids with money would get pissed when I'd hold my own with my POS garage creations. :-) No better feeling than when you create something from parts laying around. LOL.. And old school timing. I brought a 78 trans-am with the 400 complete with shaker hood and T-Tops for $125.. The issue with the car? The kid forgot to tighten the spark-o-twister... I did a burnout all the way down his street an hour after buying it.. LOL

That American flag won me over. You won. You inhaled about a pound of red smoke

Awesome, I watched all three videos. My 67 Mustang that was candy apple red with a black vinyl top was easy to work on. It had a 289 HP with the K on the block. It had 271 HP from the factory I added an edelbrock intake and headers. I got a deal at Usa Speed shop on a Holly 780 double pumper. Everyone said it was to big, but it screamed! I always cussed and swore and lost tools too. As long as they don't land down in the motor,

GM did a big recall on those motor mounts to solve the problem you are having. They went to a "C" Shape that locked them together so when the urathane got old and let go, the mounts would stay together. I worked for GM at the time, and we replaced thousands of them. Great channel Derek!

That's what being an American is all about. The freedom to go across the country pick up an old car fix it and do the most bad ass burn out of all time. All the while meeting new people having fun and holding the flag. GOOD JOB BUDDY. GOOD JOB.

that one was good. i just turned 60 and got a wild hair to buy a complete 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee from a junk yard for $450. hauled it home and there found out the ONLY thing wrong with it was the fuel pump was out..... $30 later it is an everyday driver. interior was great. outside body was 98.9 straight. WOW.... now my daughter wants to go find one and guess what, there it was solid black Pontiac fiero and 100% complete and motor turns over.
