The clois parallels have to be deliberate at this point. You can say some of them are coincidence but that scene where she’s about to tell her and takes off her glasses is the exact same. And the parallels with other couples even within the same episode. Like Alex talking about Kelly and immediately relating that to Kara and Lena.
There is another big parallel from Lois and Clark (the show from the 90’s) S3E2. Right after Lois finds out Clark is Superman he goes over to her apartment and he flies all around the world bringing back things for her. A pearl from Japan, chocolates from Switzerland, snow from the Andes. He said he did it to make her happy. I just started watching the show on HBO Max and as soon as I saw that scene I couldn’t believe it!! Some may be a coincidence but come on, there’s no way all of them are.
Look, if the writers don't want people to ship Lena and Kara like Lois and Clark, they need to stop writing them like they're Lois and Clark... And like Nia and Brainy... And like Alex and Kelly.
Thing is... I feel like they did, this season. We've been getting less and less interactions between the two recently, they're always set apart (Kara in the Phantom Zone, Lena in Newfoundland). Guess the SgCw actually started listening to us and I don't know how I feel about that.
Okay, but has anyone noticed that multiple of their hugs were almost kisses? Like, split second away from lip lock... I can't with this not being canon...
to this day i still think it's the biggest instance of wasted romantic potential ever written for a show. it's consistently been in the top 5 talked about ships on multiple platforms and it's not even canon
I need someone to reenact scenes of Supercorp but where Lena is played by a guy. Put it on YT or wherever and don't tell anyone it's Supercorp or from Supergirl. Betting for 90% of the straights to ship that "hetero" couple right away.
Hi, would anyone be interesting to join a community for les shipping for both Japan or Western origin? We mostly talk about Japan fiction so I’m looking for people who might be interested to set up thread for western shows (heads up I don’t follow the 100 or other western series).
Haven't seen the show since it came back on air but it seems like they are now consciously trying to squash the Ship out because all the clips and promos show the SuperFriends in one place and Lena on her own journey not even interacting with anyone other than Andrea. They are probably intentionally keeping them apart so we don't get any more food for fodder like this video. Honestly for me while headcanon is SuperCorp, I've given up of it ever being official canon. They were happy to queerbait for four seasons but now they seem to have even given up on that. But maybe I'm wrong and they have interactions in the show that I've missed because I didn't see the new eps. If someone who has seen S6b could confirm but I might not complete the show for now unless there is some huge SuperCorp revelation down the track. Unless that happens I'll wait for the season to finish and then binge the entire thing in a couple of days. The absence of SuperCorp videos since the show has returned is also telling because I remember them being present for Wayhaught back when S4 of Wynonna Earp was airing.
You should really watch 6x13, it’s full of scenes in which there are both Kara and Lena. They’re not canon and we can’t know if they’ll ever be, but the scenes in that episode are really beautiful, trust me
@@GiuliaSinatra01 I've seen some clips. Don't really care about spoilers for now, and yeah their interactions did remind me of pre S5 SuperCorp but are they queerbaiting again or not. I think I will watch the show but once the season ends, I think I'll just binge it. This waiting on tenterhooks is not good for my brain or heart. I'll check it out once the finale airs. Thanks for the head up though. Cheers.
I still dont know exactly how to feel about Melissa & actress-who-plays-Lena after they made fun of Supercorp and the fans at a con a few years back. Didnt sit right with me…
Melissa indeed laugh and yell "they only friends", but Katie was super cordial and cool about the ship, she was very polite/respectfull talking about it.
If anything Katie stood up for supercorp, she did say something like 'I find it fascinating that people can take whatever they want from a show like this' and I mean it's Katie mcgrath, she also said that this was the first show she hadn't felt like her character had any queer vibes or been outright gay, that shows what kind of characters she's played it the past. But the rest of them r actually disgusting for that, literally just took the mick out of like half of their random during that, and kinda made me hate all those involved...
