You forgot something my friend when red daughter died she transferred all of her energy feelings and emotion inside of Cara, that included that very strong affection for Lena. Car already felt affection for Lena but she didn't know how to act upon it. Lena is totally 109% in love with Kara virtually from the first time they meet her attraction is very obvious she gazes lovingly at her and if Kara gets Red Daughters emotions when she dies Kara might realise she feels the same about Lena and do something about it finally.
