This entire scene seems uncomfortable to me, because about half of the people know that Kara is Supergirl, not to mention Brainy. The half that do know would be spending the entire day walking on eggshells trying not to say anything that would expose Kara's secret (or Brainy's). And do Lena and the new girl know that Jzohn is an alien, etc. So many secrets seem to make for an uncomfortable Thanksgiving. As I recall, past Thanksgivings on the show all had gathers where everyone knew that Kara was SG, and thus everyone could be a lot more relaxed about things.
