All those times she used her full strength it was out of pain and anger. When someone betrayed her, when she felt like she couldn’t do anything to save her loved ones. She was using that pain to channel her rage. When she was fighting with all those other villains I felt that she wasn’t using her full strength because to me Kara is stronger then what she lets on and we get to see that when she uses her pain to channel out her anger. It makes her stronger and more powerful. She will and will always be my favorite superhero
I love that zoom part. It just shows how angry Barry is. If he killed zoom it would have made the season to short. But it would have been amazing if he just let the rage engulf him and lost control and absolutely demolished zoom.
When supergirl first came out, I thought it was ganna be a flop. I was completly snobing it. I couldnt be more wrong. I love the direction of the show. Perfect casting with Mélissa and as a DC fan it made me appreciate supergirl character in ways i never did before. Way to go Supergirl!
I know how everyone says the line "she lied to me" is the saddest but for me its the scream. It just shows all her emotions (sadness, anger, grief) and that voice crack really shows what a good actor melaissa is and just adds to the scream even more.
Bro but Kara after feeling pain was harnessing her anger into the weapon that each moment had required in other words screaming in pain is still harnessing anger since she is focusing her anger on surviving that pain
Can we just take minute to appreciate Blake Neely' s score, Harnessing Anger, in the first fourth, and fifth scene. Like if you hear that, things just got serious.
Kara has so much anger behind her smiles and for that I'm grateful because it's accurate to her comic character who is so angry that she becomes a red lantern.
I really need this Kara Danvers back on Supergirl season 3. Just look at the depth & maturity of her character here. And look at her equation with Alex in the current season. One can clearly differentiate between the two
Disha Ravishankar That is basically most of season three so far, I find this season really good, you can see the depths of the characters, and the actresses‘ good acting.
The first couple of seasons of supergirl were amazing. It wasn't a cheesy superhero show. It was more about her finding her place in this world and summoning powers that she did not know she had for her friends and family. Also the sacrifices and betrayals a person who had super powers who has to control and discipline herself to stop from using them. Melissa played the most vulnerable superhero in history.
i feel like ever since mon-el left she hasn’t been the same I know the heartbreak and stuff but you can see when she fought against this she put all the anger in her power . I think if kara tried to defeat reign she could do it if she would challenge all the anger and loss in her
I don't think Supergirl could beat Reign regardless. Isn't Reign a genetically modified monster who's sole purpose is to outclass Kryptonians? Supergirl can't handle that beast. BUT what made it worst was 1. Fighting at night when she's powered by the yellow sun. 2. Rushing into a fight with someone she knows nothing about. 3. Rushing into a fight with Mon-El and his new wife on her mind. 4. Not having more combat training and using more of her powers, like the freeze breath, the gust of wind breath, etc.
@Nia Smith I'm so lost 😂 how you go from the original comment to ranting about breakups and being "whiny" to a comment impolite "assholes? Please connect the dots 🤔
Kara: "You let everyone I love die! You left me alone. You send me away how could you do that?!" Kent Clark: "aM I A jOKe To yOU" Jk just trying to lighten the mood 😂
Well, here in this show Clark/Kal-El did kind of abandon her. What he should have done was have her live at the Kent Farm with him and Martha. At least then she would have been with family, and with someone who understood completely what she’d be going through. Instead of shipping her off with human strangers who had no idea what it was like to raise an alien girl from a long lost planet. That’s something the writers screwed up on.
I completely forgot about this so I dunno what I was thinking about writing this 😅 edit: okay I remember now I was just thinking that Kara was not the only one sent and I did mix up Clark’s name lol
Kal El left her with her adoptive parents. He was never there for here lol, at least in the way superman is portrayed in this universe, she looks up to him even tho he has never been around
I know this video is about Kara, but the moment when that mom gained hysterical strength to save her daughter... just wow. Like when she screams and then the metal bar bends in her hand... just amazing.
I can’t tell anyone how many years I’ve cried watching this show. How many emotions I’ve felt, emotions I’ve repressed and run from because I was scared..but if you run from things your whole life..you’ll miss out on so much. You’ll run from those who love you..even when you think no one does.
5:04 and on.... this show is just too much on my tear glands. Just an amazing show and just amazing acting from everyone. Especially these two amazing actresses, Melissa Benoist and Chyler Leigh. Loved Melissa in Glee, her voice incredible.!!!! #marley
underrated moment but when she’s trying to save alex on that ship and she’s pushing and alex is looking at her through the mirror and she just looks so proud 🥲
Denishea Bates yes it was stupid. First seen goes back to when her planet was about to die. It shows the pain and sorrow she went through. That's what made her so strong. Second seen. She was so mad and sad at the same time. She was mad cause her mom used a really close relationship cause she was a prike and didn't think to listen to Astra about what was happening to krypton. And she was also sad cause her mom lied to her and didn't tell her anything. It's easy to lose someone you really care about. I've experienced it many times. The third seen shows how you can tell she's still mad that she lost Monel. You can see it on her face in the sky and when she's holding the submarine. She loved Monel, so so much. That he was the only thing that kept Kara alive in the last seen. Melissa is the best DC actress I've ever seen. Superman is pretty boring in my opinion. But to transfer all that to a strong and beautiful and especially independent woman. They Coudnt have gotten a better actress. Supergirl is my SECOND HERO. My first above anyone and everyone is Ronda Rousey. But happily and easily my second is supergirl or Melissa. Thanks for a second hero supergirl producers, and Supergirl/Melissa.#ARMBAR NATION FAM SCARLET. AND NOW #RED CAPPED GODDESS KARA FAM. I'LL HAVE TO COME UP WITH A BETTER NAME. IT WAS THE BEST THING I COULD COME UP WITH ON THE FLY.
Denishea Bates wrong first words. I agree with you. I read it wrong. Do you forgive me, I'm truly sorry. I really am. I thought you were denying that she was in pain. That she was only in anger. Sorry man.
9:22 - Mon El really is Kara's soulmate, just thinking about him gives her power and will. I really hope they end up together because Kara deserves her happy ending.
Wouldnt the submarine have a hole or break? Even if kara is strong enough the submarine isnt. To be held up in the air in the middle by two hands. I dont think the submarine could handle that.
When Alex (chyler) told Kara (Melissa) told her that she was the one who killed Astra Kara super girl was mad but the she's like life can't live this way so she went and gave her a hug that's so AMAZING go Melissa we love you Kara you have the biggest heart for others love you so much 💕💕💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💙💙💙💙💙💙💓💓💓💓💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💟💗💗💗💗💗 Is there another season 5 of super girl
She’s such an amazing character my favourite hero and when she had to give up mon el that killed me because she knew it was the right thing and she was happy for him and imra she truly has a heart of gold xxx
Love this music because when I heard it it's mean like always a powerful scene and you feel all the emotion with the good acting and the good choice of music
