I’m sad that Kara hasn’t been able to have any final adventures with Clark, Barry and Kate, but this looks like it’s going to be an epic swansong for Supergirl. Mon-El, James and Winn are back, Lex and Nyxly have Esme and essentially the dreamstone… OVERGIRL is back! I’m still holding out hope Callista Flockhart returns one last time as Cat Grant. That would be the icing on the cake after everything. Up, up, and away we go this Tuesday.

It’s definitely been interesting to see Kara making more and more moral compromises out of desperation. Really happy that they’re not just pretending that didn’t happen and that it’s an intentional part of her story arc here. Definitely a fascinating final arc that shows how those with incredible power are not beyond a need for accountability no matter how good their intentions.

Generally, It’s become a terrible show for many years. This last season has been non stop virtue signaling and charged with social political diatribe. Makes me throw up thinking about it. I’m all good with social commentary and themes, but don’t shove it down my throat every scene like an after school special. There’s art in subtlety and showing both sides of the coin. Look for all of its ups and downs, Supergirl was exactly the hopeful show we needed. Especially at a point where it took years to get Superman out a brooding funk. I’m going to miss you Girl of Steel, and the Superfriends too.

Supergirl Big Bad rankings 1. Lex Luthor (Jon Cryer has proven himself to be the best live action Lex Luthor as the character definitely caused a lot of mischief such as the whole political storyline of Season 4 itself) 2. Reign (the first big bad of Supergirl to ever feel so threatening and sympathetic at the same time as Odette Annable perfectly potrays the innocent Samantha Arias and the dark Kryptonian Reign) 3. Agent Liberty (while his storyline ended up being bad, Agent Liberty did have an understandable motivation and interesting design of his costume as well as having a good actor potraying him) 4. Nyxlygsptlnz (as one of the final main villains of the show, i find Nyxly quite enjoyable as a villain as she has a fine rivalry with Supergirl) 5. Lillian Luthor (fine villain with an interesting rivalry with Supergirl as well as her familial connection with her two children) 6. Rhea (while Rhea isn't that good of a villain, she was at least kinda better than Selena and/or Kara's aunt and uncle) 7. Selena (not the most memorable character, but at least she was responsible for creating arguably one of the better villains of the show in Reign) 8. Astra In-Ze (she along with her husband were not that compelling as villains, but at least Astra was a little more interesting than Non) 9. Non (not that good of a villain, even his death was kinda underwhelming) 10. Gamemnae (while it is an interesting take on the character being the Goddess of Technology, throughout her season she wasn't given any screentime at all and the motivations of her and Leviathan were just never been clear)

Reign deserved a better ending than she got. She deserved to leave a scar on Kara mentally for being stubborn enough in refusing to go against her morals. Instead Kara pulled a Barry with no repercussions for her actions and then we never saw Odette Anabelle again

It would have been cancelled after season 1 if CW didn't get their "filthy mitts" on it. CBS needed to spend way more money to get characters to show up on season 1. That's why superman wasn't cast in season 1. Only a stunt double was used. CW didn't have that much cost constraints to get these characters to appear in the arrowverse. While supergirl pilot had the most views on the entire arrowverse, the decrease in views and the cost required to produce the show in CBS was too high for them to continue the show in CBS. Thank CW for getting 5 more seasons of supergirl for us

Funny how in Superman and Lois they did this bit already but better. Child gets kidnapped but with Superman in actual mortal danger from his Kryptonian brother and a whole Kryptonian army armed with Kryptonite and the acting being so much better and that was only the first season in a season finale not a series finale. Yet the bots are calling this some kind of "Epic movie"? Just because it's 2 hours long doesn't make it studio movie quality lol.

@@elizabethclark1418 In Entertainment Weekly she said that she wanted a break, but she was open to come back in those series in the future, and that she loves working with Grant Gustin, Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch. Of course, we shouldn't expect her to appear in the ongoing seasons.

Need to remember this is supergirl limited by the script. On the tiering system, she is low 2-c. Every one of her powers is universal+ class except raw strength. Supergirl fought and hurt the anti-monitor. Her speed, invulnerability, striking ability, stamina is all universal+. Her only limitation is strength, which is class z, can toss neutron stars to other galaxy's, that sort of thing.
