The Ecto has been very impressive! I wasn't expecting much, but it's getting it done! That being said, I really wanna see some Predator compound Trenchers on it! I think it'd make a big difference on such a light rig.
The Ecto looked so sad lanying on its side at the bottom of cliffhanger. SV1 was trying to make the Ecto nervous on crack-o-doom. Keep up the great work!
I feel if you had the same amount of wheel time on the Ecto, as you do SV1, plus equal tires, the Ecto may have walked away with the win. Great channel and content.
Swap tires, side hill the sv1 put a full length spring in the rear to prevent flopping. Ecto when descending add small weight in rear or on axle or on tire something. Maybe ounce or so. Thanks great watch... thorough!
Vs1 just because it made it the first time Both trucks are really awesome. Anybody could have one I will build. Thanks to u man I want the gate keeper. And ditch the cage. 👌
I am really really loving my Gatekeeper & the echto is just wow, I love the long wheelbase. & I enjoy always watching SV1 run 1 word Is reliable! Great video & Comparison 🤜🤛👊👍
On the Crack-o-Doom I've gotta give to SV-1. Ec-toe needed 2 tries WITH brass. Sv1 did it in one without brass. Clear win SV1. Great comparison, great video. :)
They both did very well. I think the same tires in the same compound on both trucks would really be where you might see a difference between them. Nice job on both trucks!
I agree with Gudmunder, swap the tires and do it again. The down hill and side hill are that ecto's kryptonite. It can go up almost anything with ease. Swap the wheels and tires, go again . Add twin ridges.
The Ecto has sold me! But IMO you HAVE to get it off those tires, they have held you back sooooo many times. Please go dual stage foams and another tires. Maybe the Baha Claw or some Ottsix KLRs would be hot!🔥 But in all, that Ecto us my next rig!💪🏽 Thnx for all your work
My next rig was going to be a scx based truck but after watching your test of the new ecto I think I'm sold. Ecto for the win. Ive been very impressed with it.
I want to see you put some predator compound krawlers with a good 2 stage foam on the ecto. I think it would really help to even things up. Even if you were to give the point to the ecto the sv1 comes out the clear winner. It's withstood the test of time. Its brushed with an old school system. It's an older build that just keeps performing. Sv2 vs ecto would be a good video too.
@@ExocagedRC and also mounting up a set of the predators would level out the playing field a little bit. I could tell a major difference crawling with a buddy. He had g8s and I had predators. He had portals and I had 10.2 axles. Mine seemed to just grab while he spun.
I crawl with 2 friends. All axial but definitely 3 different weights of our rigs. We have a 5.5 lbs, me at 7.4 lbs and another at 10.2 lbs. We all argue over which is best light, medium, or heavy. I would love to see a video of a light weight vs heavy done only the way that you do it.
Honestly I can't call it either. There is (only) one variable that probably made all the difference...the approach to Crack of Doom. SV1 went low and almost straight, ECTO went high and "sideways" (don't know if I'm explaining it spot on, but you get the point). Everything else is "speculation" Some guys are saying that the tire compound is the culprit...I don't agree. SV1 has a "better" tire/foam combo, but a far "inferior" suspension (TAMIYA CC-01) friction (not sure) shocks. So the tire advantage might get diluted because of the "cheapo super lightweight" shocks. Not sure (lack of knowledge on my part) if the sway bar is working for or against ECTO, but it seems the rear is more stable than SV1... We can go on for ever and find tons of reasons for this and that. Heck, I could even say that ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure (there was a thunderstorm nearby) had an influence on the performance...see the point? The important here is to know what was the better experience! Sorry about this extensive dissertation. Awsome video as usual. Keep it up Cheers
Great analysis! The shocks on SV1 are stock axial with Tamiya springs. I do like the suspension on Ecto better. On the weather part, I’ve been out there and crawled everything. Go back out the next day and don’t get half of it. There is a difference there but I had both trucks out there at the same time to try to eliminate that variable.
@@ExocagedRC I'd think so to get a gspeed chassis and some bent high clearance links should be bout all you'd need besides minor tweaks and smoother electronics.
The Ecto is very impressive, try some predator tires on it and see what happens. With the rig itself being so stock it's so impressive. Get a Ecto and change the ESC and motor and you have a BAD A$$ rig.
Ecto on the crack... It has been more consistent since latest upgrade, and sv1 had an almost cheater line to make it. That being said, 9verall seems to be a draw. Both great trucks.
I think ecto got the crack of doom better the first try u just came into it to high n it seems like ecto gets it easier in other video’s but I will say sv1 has better control n easier to predict what it’s going to do in the end I would say the sv1 is better but it better watch out bec the ecto is coming for him lol
