Christopher Reeve the best & only SUPERMAN for ever. Rest in peace. I was 12 years old at that time I saw the movie with my lovely dad. It was so fantastic so brilliant performance of all actors. I will never forget the superb acting of Christopher Reeve. My Superman.
Have to disagree with you there, he was great in the role for his time. However growing up watching Sunday morning t.v The adventures of superman with George Reeves in the title role, no relation between the actors, He was and always will be Superman to me.
The first and truly legendary superhero film that ever came out and amazingly well done considering there was no CGI or fancy computers back then. It was all practical effects.
In 1978, I was a nanny for a family in Washington DC. The mother of the family worked for Special Olympics, and the premiere of Superman was a benefit for Special Olympics. My employer and her husband went to the premiere, and were able to get tickets for me and their oldest son to attend the press showing, which means I actually saw the movie before it was released to the public! It is a wonderful memory!
What an amazing experience. The first and truly legendary superhero film. Truly groundbreaking back in the day without CGI and fancy computers. You've seen the best of all superhero films.
Christopher Reeve was Superman Others have played the part but he was the one we all compare them to The first reveal where he saves Lois is the most iconic reveal in all of super hero movies
While I have watched as many/much SUPERMAN as I can find, AND I LOVE them all, Christopher Reeve is my Fave only by a tiny bit. Loved his smile at the end of the movie and the homage to him at the end of Returns. PLZ correct me if I'm wrong. Also Loved Reeve in Somewhere. I still cry when watching. miss this guy.
My mom was only 6 years old when Superman came out in 1978. She’s now 51. It’s sad that so many of the people involved in the movie are dead now. How time flies.
@@user-wo7dl6tb2q I know. I’m not like most people, who want to live forever. I’m the opposite. When my time comes, I’ll accept it. It’s like Arwin says in Lord of the Rings: “I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all Ages of this world alone. I choose a mortal life.”
Excellent cast, it was really emotional that you can feel the love of his adopted parents raising him😢 . The best of the best , sorry Brandon and Cavill😂
I remember meeting Christopher Reeve at Tulane University in 2003 or 2004. He was filming the Brooke Ellison story. They were set up in the Newcomb Art building Gallery. As he was being put into his van by his wife and their nurse, I told him hi. He took his mouth off the breathing apparatus for a sec and told me hi. I had tears in my eyes just looking at him. I had to walk away. Will never forget… Saw Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio also. Went to tell her hi but it looked like she had an “attitude “ so I ignored her.
Phyllis Thaxter was also one of three actors who played Lois lane in the original TV show Superman. The others were Phyllis Coates and Noel Neill, who was on the train along with Kirk Allen who first played superman before George Reeves.
Who is the best Superman? That question is as easy (or perhaps hard) to answer as "Who is the best James Bond?" Several actors have given their take on how to portrait an alien demigod, with varying degree of success. I tend to have two, maybe three, favorite actors as Superman. 1) Christopher Reeve, because I grew up with him as the Man of Steel. 2) George Reeves, because of the impact he had on the development of Superman and 3) Henry Cavill because of his gritty take on the character. Bring it
No kidding. I’m only 26 right now, and I already feel physically different than I did before age 20. Could be the depression, but I’m sure that’s not all.
@@painkillerjones6232 No, I’m not. I just turned 27 now, and with what I’ve dealt with, I feel at least 55. Call it whatever you want, but that’s how I truly feel.
I was 11 years old and lived in Istanbul. I went by myself and nobody else with me into the cinema...And magic started. Wouw how was that possible a man can fly ? Today we are in 2023 and still can nobody take the place of Christopher Reeve.
In my humble opinion, the late Mr. ChrIstopher Reeve is THE CLASSIC SUPERMAN! All the others who fantasied as Superman are not so entertaining. But alas! he as SUPERMAN is not immuned to accident and is not immortal for sadly he died at only 52 years of age!
With so many SUPERMAN Episodes and actors as Clark Kent since the Original Film in 1978....CHRISTOPHER REED will always be the number 1 SUPERMAN Actor. R.i.p Legend 🎉🎉🎉🎉
