It could just be a placeholder until cavill is back in the role or just a way to let us know he’s still canon so if he does end up returning to the role I would find this choice pretty well handled considering they could’ve just completely silent about his existence altogether like I’d be complaining more if the dceu just pretended he didn’t even exist. Whatever superman they give you will be watered down. Wrong ethnicity, backstory, or an aging Henry Cavill. He will be 50 by the time a trilogy is finished

I was called a Snyder cultist just because I replied in a topic on twitter and youtube that I found the The Suicide Squad to be terribly unfunny, too juvenile and boring. Didn't mention nothing about Zack Snyder and all they resorted to calling me was a Snyder cultist. So apparently, thinking a movie flat out sucks that's not made by Snyder makes you a cult member.

To be honest, ”Aquaman fucking fish” didn't appear funny to me but also it didn't make me feel angry or irritated by it.. The internet is filled with many various people that can spread false rumors. And peacemaker just happens to be the guy that doesn't understand the internet. He believes anything he sees on there. Even in real life, there are rumors on the net that marvel killed Zack Snyder's daughter. And unfortunately, there are people who believe that. I think peacemaker believing Aquaman fucks fish is just a way for audience to understand the dude. A way for us to see that peacemaker is an idiot who's not familiar with modern technology. Talk about character development.
The only reason why Flash and Aquaman made their cameo and why WB allowed James gunn probably to do this (as getting a JL cameo is kinda big deal for a series) is simply because they are the only ones who have a movie coming up. Thats it, its advertisement lol.
Some dude was trying to argue with me saying Snyder ruined Superman and it’s great that he’s gone because “Batman and Supes deserved better”. This was yesterday- mere days after a Justice League cameo with yet again another faceless Superman and where Batman was digitally removed. I guess that’s what he meant when he said they “deserved better” lol.

I did kinda saw a little bit of Henry Cavill's likeness in that shadow of Superman. But I think the reason they didn't get Henry Cavill back was probably because of ether he was working on the Witcher or it would have cost him too much money. It was a cool scene but I would rather have it with Henry, Gal Ben, and Ray but yeah. I know they originally were gonna add cyborg and Batman in that scene but they were cut out. They weren't originally gonna have batman and cyborg James Gunn proved this was wrong. It was always their intention to only have a few justice league members show up. Plus they probably just didn't get Henry for the same reason they didn't get Gal Gadof. Scheduling issues.
James Gunn really tried to have all the Justice League and WB was like naw and prolly gonna give us wonder twins or something in the DCEU before we see the Justice League fully together as a team again lol

Superman fans EaTinG GoOd! I swear, by now, the fans have been robbed of everything that was good about the DCEU. So much that some of them will be happy about scraps. And then there the people who always hated Snyder and his approach who now all pretend that the new direction is pure gold because otherwise they would have to admit that they screwed it all up.
They're the ones who went "We need a hopeful and optimistic Superman movie now more than ever" but now there are no Superman movie projects in the works (still no word on the Back Superman movie project as far as I've seen) and they're as silent as can be.
So, actually, Superman being silhouetted (which it DOES have to do with the Henry Cavill situation), has more to do with the fact that James Gunn only actually expected Jason Mamoa to be able to film. Ezra just happened to he down for it, so they shot it real quick while on the set of Guardians 3. He never once expected for Henry, Gal, or Ezra to show up. It would have just ended on "I'm so fucking sick of that rumor." Also, Jason was actually down for the cameo and liked the joke, as James Gunn explained that Peacemaker is an idiot and doesn't know what he's talking about. This is in contrast to Justice League, where Jason DIDN'T like fish jokes.

Hey Tex, I’m pretty sure, no I’m absolutely certain. That the “fucking fish” joke was supposed to be a joke mainly on peacemaker. How he’s an idiot when it comes to certain things like not knowing what’s a baseless rumor on the internet. The joke isn’t “haha aquaman fucks fish” but instead it’s “peacemaker is still the same idiot even in front of the justice league” or something like that. That’s what makes it different from the “he talks to fish” joke. And unlike joss wherein where he gets a massive ego boost from one successful comic book film. James Gunn still does his research and knows what’s a trope that should be cut and what should be kept and remixed.
the reason Affleck batman didn't appear was because Affleck himslef doesn't want to comeback to the role, and maybe WB for that reason decided to cut out his batman at the end, to not make fans hyped for his return when they can't confirm that themselves

Maybe if people had actually gone to see man of steel I’d be a little more angry at wb not having Superman everywhere (also ignoring any other jobs cavil is working in which wouldn’t make it feesable) Unfortunately looking at the numbers Joker and Aquaman made more money than any single film from Snyder or anyone else for that matter. If Batman does insane numbers I’d have to say there’s no reason for WB to waste their time on a franchise the general audiences didn’t like, most comic book fans didn’t like and basically have turned these films into cult films. There's room for possible villains like Metallo, Parasite, Livewire, Mongul, Toyman, and Brainiac. There really just isn't a Mercy Graves anymore or a real Jimmy Olsen yet. They can possibly even explore the red sun weakness through Brainiac actually

I thought the scene was exactly as everything else WB does with DC shows, movies, etc… CONFUSING & pretty much unnecessary. The Aquaman joke was over done but right in line with everything else Peace Maker says. I didn’t understand why they would confirm it in the end with Barry. Is that really what they’re ok with? Not ok with so many other things but it’s ok that Aquaman f’s fish. I think was Sturgeon to be specific. It’s not even a salt water fish. But @ Pepethefrog89 is probably Grace Randolph so at least it’s confirmed
I think that there is maybe a chance of Henry Cavill coming back as superman. Ben Affleck and Ray Fisher don't want to continue doing their roles for certain reasons, while Henry, Jason, Erza, and Gal still wanna be their characters. But then again Henry did say he heard nothing from WB if he can come back.

The show was good. I really liked Peacemaker, his father and Vigilante. But man, the fat black lesbian was BAD. She is like a lesbian Mary Sue that finds and solve every thing with here (No offense) fat black lesbian power. She's also a bad character (spoilers) she tried to manipulate V into killing P's father and tried to blackmail P too and after all of that she is a good person that doesn't kill and has dumb expressions. I am sick of woke people man.
I like Snyder's films (besides bvs but I honestly need to rewatch that) but alot of his fanboys get pissed off at the concept of humour. Like Aquaman didn't even really tell a joke here, he just got pissed off at Peacemaker and laughed with Barry. It's a comedy spinoff, what did you want them to do, fucking kill the team because they dared poke fun at the king of Atlantis? If they did this scene in a JL movie it would suck, but like I said earlier, it's a comedic spinoff. DC isn't really using their biggest strength over marvel that much, diversity. Most marvel stuff are quippy action comedy dramas that for the most part feel the same, sometimes feeling so bland it becomes awful(ant man and the wasp). Snyder fanboys want every DC property to be this dark psychological LOTR type epic, and it works for the justice league(2017 doesn't count), but if every film felt the same as justice league it would have the same problem as marvel, instead of being bland in a lighthearted way, it would be bland in an overly edgy way. Give us dark Batman films, Justice league epics by Snyder, obscure lighthearted but brutal stuff by Gunn, more goody Shazam type stuff, and more joker esque character study's. Edit: Snyder fans don't really want other versions of Superman. I just realized something, if a Snyder fan is around my age, they saw man of steel when they were young, and that version most likely became their Superman. They grew up seeing a version of Superman, a Superman they connected with. Of course they would want Cavill to return, and I want him to return as well. Tyler is one of my favorite live action supermen, but Cavill deserves another chance, no matter if it's a hopeful guy from Kansas, or a heroic god among men, or even a corrupted demon ruling earth.
Not true actually. Im a Snyder fan and i still am a huge fan of Christopher Reeve Superman and Tyler's, and not to mention that i consider Superman and Lois as one of the best CB shows to this date. I dont have much of problems with Peacemaker and not gonna lie, i really enjoyed it. But gotta disagree with that Justice League cameo sequence. James Gunn just used the Justice League to show up late which literally makes the Justice League into a team with no proper time management which is also fine with me cause you know......"humor", but then turning the whole team cameo into a 5 second fish joke is NOT humor. Well, maybe it IS humor, but definitely not a good joke in any kind of way. I mean, no one said the Justice League or Superman or anyone in the team cannot make jokes, but disregarding the basic structure of the team so that they can become a 10 second joke is NOT good. Im one of those people who jumped out of my chair when i saw the cameo. But after the joke, it wasnt that great. Was it fun?? Of course its the frickin Justice League. But there are ways they couldve just showed the Justice League and make jokes _without_ hurting one of the most basic points of the team. When Batman said it it was out of nowhere and forced. The Peacemaker show has an entirely different identity then ZSJL, and they curse A LOT, so it didn't feel as jarring and edgy for the sake of being edgy.

Essentially yeah. Have you ever heard of the Bat-Embargo? It was basically where certain Batman characters, be it live action or animated, could not be used at the same time. The reason is pretty stupid in that "It would cause confusion.". As far as I know, Christopher Nolan almost made the Bat-Embargo worse by not even letting animation and possibly other videogames be around or made while he was doing the Batman movies. People also hate WB because of their many bad decisions that they have made with DC. History has kept repeating itself from their mistakes yet WB just doesn't seem to learn
Because all the MCU films are made by marvel studios an entity which specifically exists just for MCU and nothing else and is led by kevin feigi. Disney own them sure but ultimately all the decisions are made by feigi and his team not by disney. Whereas DC has many sub branches. DCEU is handled by WB. The HBOMax shows like doom patrol, titans are handled by HBOMax. Arrowverse is handled by CW. So when you say DC fucks up movies it doesn't specify who exactly are we talking about. Is it WB?? Is it CW?? There is no DC studio that exists only to make DCEU or DC live action content. For all these networks and studios DC is just another IP like gossip girl or conjuring verse etc. So the execs dont know anything about DC comics or it's rich history. The only thing they know is numbers. They only care about how much money they spend and how much they get in return. Thats one of the main reason why WB's biggest IP is bleeding whereas Marvel studios are able to make money consistently with very unknown characters.
MCU movies is made by marvel studios. Their producer and leader is Kevin feigi. Disney only told feigi they want pg13 movies that goes aligned with Disney identity and so he does that. So if the movie is bad or good, it's 90% goes to him while 10% goes to director. From pre-production, shooting and post production, feigi control everything. Even upcoming Dr strange 2 movies is reshoot by unknown director because feigi need to create Disney identity using Sam raimi template. So don't expect Dr strange will be 100% Sam raimi movies. For DCEU is made by WB using different production company. Everything need to be green light by WB. Only man of steel is where WB has no control (because Nolan produce it). WB always demand whatever they think it's should be for superhero movies. Although WB said they give creative control to DCEU directors but we all knew it just a lie. For example Bird of Prey director said she want to make comic accurate Cassandra Cain but WB refuse to do that although WB said they give her creative freedom. You know it’s been 9 years since we’ve had a solo Superman film. And 5 years since Henry last played the character. 🙄 WB SUCKS. And I hate the direction they’re going. I don’t care about the suicide squad and peacemaker. We should have let Snyder do his thing.
Actually, on Twitter some Snyder fans of all people got mad that aquaman said fuck because they thought aquaman would never say that so I find that funny. Snyder haters are hate batman saying fuck but are fine with aquaman saying it and some Snyder fans are fine with Batman saying it but are mad when aquaman says it.
Then again, I don't think they need to cut out Batman in this scene as they are technically bringing Ben Affleck's Batman back into the Flash movie!! So why cut it??
