(Probability) my first video of 2019. and a scene where Gus Gorman (Richard Pryor) looking miserable while being flyed with Superman (Christopher Reeve). And he decided to be stop at the coal mine. and leaves Gus Gorman behind and decided to go to the bus stop from 9-10 miles.
I'm might be sure that third one was bad. But it was not as bad as the fourth one, but i think the third one was least better than the fourth one because the fourth one has lots a Horrible HORRIBLY stuff and campy and more HORRIBLE effects. i wasn't even on Go!Animate4Schools anymore. i might be on Vyond by my mom for sure.
Well anyway, hope you enjoy my video guys. don't forget to subscribe me for more videos.
I don't own this movie, it belongs to Warner Bros. Pictures.

Same here exactly! 😂 I always saw Pryor as Gus Gorman being 3 years old myself in 1983 when I first saw this. It was my first Superman movie and the scenes were so vivid. The acid. The Atari computer sounds. The sister turning into a robot traumatized me for life. The wheat field. Clark eating dog food on a picnic.😂 Drunk Superman. Clark vs Superman. The oil rig spilling. Skiing on a skyscraper. People drowning in cars in the opening. Clark and Lana HS reunion. There was so much scenery, colorful ness, and unusual ness for this in 1983.

This is very true-to-life. Superman frequently offers unsolicited advice in a very heavy-handed way, and most people just take it because, “he’s, you know, Superman. He’s got his shit together. He made time for me, and made me feel special.”They never stop to ask themselves whether Superman actually has any special knowledge that can actually help with their particular issue. Until five years later, they’re working overtime at a coal mine thinking, “was this really Superman’s plan for how my life was supposed to turn out?”

Well you suit yourself. I'll see you in Metropolis as soon as the bus arrives there. (Flies away) Coal Factory Worker: Are you sure you don't want that job as a computer programmer? Gus: Yes I'm sure, this is not for me. I'm going to take that bus to Metropolis.

When that coal factory worker said that Gus has good references from 2:09-2:11, did he mean Superman was Gus's reference? (I'm sure he didn't mean Gus's boss Ross Webster since Ross wouldn't put a good word in for Gus especially since it's not like anyone at the coal factory looked at his resume).

At last - I have found it: the scene where Superman transports Gus - by flight - to arrive at the coal mining plant. The piece of music that plays in the background during the flight (0:09-1:00) is my favorite part of the Superman 3 soundtrack. During the segment, Superman and Gus are having a conversation and are mainly talking over the background score at this point. I would like to know, therefore, if it's possible to hear Ken Thorne's completed version of this item in the score?

I guess one of the reasons Gus chose to walk to the bus station at 2:57 was because he didn't have enough money to call a taxi to take him to the bus station but only had enough money to buy a bus ticket since he lost his job at Webscoe and probably was in debt of not having too much money.
@williamshaw9047
@williamshaw9047 2 года назад
This was an era before cell phones and, for the most part, ATMs. Superman may have been deliberately being a dick dropping him in the middle of West Virginia, so Gus would have probably had to walk there anyway. I'm guessing along the way, he'd be thinking about his Ferrari waiting for him back in Metropolis.
@afriendofbean
@afriendofbean Год назад
@@williamshaw9047 This is a late comment buy yes, this movie happened before cell phones existed which means if Gus wanted to call a cab, he would have to find a payphone (that is, if he had quarters with him) to call a cab to take him to the bus station. Regarding ATMs, they had MAC machines back in the early 80s where if Gus had a debit card, he could use it to withdraw cash from his account if he had cash in his account to pay for a taxi ride to the bus station but was most likely in debt not having any money since he was fired from Webscoe especially since his boss Ross Webster was arrested and most likely Webscoe went out of business. Also yes, I was surprised and confused as to why Superman made Gus stay in West Virginia since for one thing, it sounded like he and Gus were going to fly back to Metropolis together and maybe Superman (or his alter ego Clark Kent) was going to talk to Perry White to get him a computer job at the "Daily Planet" especially since Gus asked if they arrived in Metropolis from 0:50-0:51 with Superman first saying that he was going to make a quick stop at the coal factory, then when he said that they were going to get going from 1:32-1:33 where Gus said that he will take the bus to Metropolis (probably sounding like he was going to meet Superman at the Metropolis bus station just to prevent from being in the sky again) and without asking, he (Superman) put words in Gus's mouth for Gus to get a computer job in the coal factory and even though Gus acted like he was interested, he really wasn't by just waiting for Superman to fly away since he told that coal factory employee that he's not interested but is more interested in catching the bus back to Metropolis. (I was hoping Gus was seen on the fourth film as an IT person at the "Daily Planet.")

@adrianacosta807 3 года назад
Point about Gus is he really doesn't want to work anywhere hahaha , it's the funny thing
@afriendofbean
@afriendofbean 3 года назад
@@adrianacosta807 That might be true because I remember in the first scene of the movie, it showed Gus at the bank where the bank clerk found out that he wasn't keeping a job where he applies for a job and then drops out constantly where the bank clerk found out that he is no longer eligible to get a job (he probably was never able to find his niche in life) but, looked on a cigarette matchbox how you can earn a lot of money for working on computers which made him find his niche. However, it's unknown whether he really wanted to have a job in life or not since he sounded interested in the computer job at the coal factory at 1:50 where it's unknown if he was just pretending to act interested to Superman (he probably was waiting for Superman to fly away) or if he just changed his mind from 2:17-2:20. However, when he said he was going to hop on the bus to Metropolis, it's unknown where he was going to go from there and what he would do by maybe forgetting a computer job by searching for another non computer job (even though the bank clerk said he is no longer eligible to get a job). However, I'm sure he's not old enough to retire since he told one of his coworkers at "Webscoe" that he's still young under age 65.
@afriendofbean
@afriendofbean 4 года назад
At 2:10, what does that coal factory worker mean that Gus has good references to get a job at the coal factory? Was it Superman that put a good word in for him? It definitely wouldn't of been Ross Webster since Ross was against Gus and Gus messed up Ross's plan to kill Superman. Plus, Ross probably was arrested by this point.
@Leon-zu1wp
@Leon-zu1wp 2 года назад
It's obviously Supermans reference lol
@afriendofbean
@afriendofbean 2 года назад
@@Leon-zu1wp Yes, that could be true but, while Superman has been very popular on Earth, those coal factory workers don't know Superman (they only knew his name because Gus called him "Sup" the moment they landed assuming he was Superman after hearing news reports about someone named Superman) and probably don't know too much about him for him to give Gus a reference to have a job at that coal factory because Gus asked them if they have seen Superman before and one of them said "no" all from 2:34-2:38. Perhaps another reason the factory workers don't know Superman with him being from Metropolis while they're all in Smallville. So for these reasons, it was just surprising they all of a sudden decided to take Superman's reference not knowing him or have never seen him.
