It’s a running joke in our house, been going for years! When our five year old son is jealous about smtg and being a turkey, we’ll look at each other: “Supes!”
To be fair, Superman is what's attracting these intergalactic threats. Godzilla and the other titans been here. I'd look at them as more natural disasters. 😂
Godzilla outlook changed as the perception of america changed to japanese ppl , godzilla represented america and its bomb earlier it was scary and now its their protector, specially with a dragon looming near japan on the western side 🤔
@@----T300nah they right. If Superman is better than humans, and he’s not human, then he’s not more human, he’s more than humans. Wow after typing that I realized how confusing that sounds. But I rest my statement there.😅
Oh, come on. Superman did what he had to. As much as I would have hated it, I would have done the same thing. People now act like Henry Cavill Superman enjoys killing his enemies. That could not be further from the truth. And I'm sorry if I seem rude, but I'm tired of seeing people complain about that.
@@owlomar2007 One death vs billions…not exactly an excuse. It’s the trolly problem on a massive scale…are you suggesting you’d rather save one person over several? Heroes need to make such choices on a daily basis, it’s always easy for a spectator to believe they could make better choices until they’re put into that situation themselves.
Well, as someone who has many friends and family in various trades, all that destruction is job security regardless. 'Merica! 🇺🇸 And Godzilla's bellyflop was fantastic. Look at how happy he is! 😂
Superman literally had to fight someone that was becoming just powerful as him but with years of actual combat experience and training plus this is literally his first day on the job. The fact he stopped an alien invasion and killed a superpowered fascist wanted Krypton to live again at the cost of the entire human race
I think it’s because Godzilla is giant, so it’s kinda hard not to wreck anything whereas with Superman, a man the size of a human person, it seems a lot more like unnecessary damage or something like that.
No Superman is right because in the context of man of steel of course the buildings would be wrecked it’s two kryptonians fighting wtf do y’all expect ? the criticisms of man of steel are dum asf
Yeah Superman should learn from Anime Protagonist to lure the bid bad outside the city and civilians first. Because if two super humans fight in the middle of city, casualties is to be expected.
@@rohitashmishra6761 comics Superman negs all Godzilla form! Comics Superman Is Omniversal level being , he Is way way to much for Godzilla , many Superman version are way way above Godzilla
One destroyed a city to save the world because they're giant and being clumsy is just a side effect The other destroyed a city to save the world because they're reckless
@@dislikebutton6558 Godzilla has greater than human intelligence. This is outlined in the Godzilla: dominion comic and the Godzilla: King of the monsters novelisation. He however views them the same way humans view ants. He doesn’t go out of his way to stomp them, but a couple of casualties and minor destruction doesn’t bother him, and he knows he can’t control it. He’s still surprisingly gentle. He only killed 8 people in GvK when he mowed down the Floridian factories, and made sure to not stomp on a boy who was playing on an island where he fought with Scylla.
@@dislikebutton6558First of, Godzilla is actually pretty intelligent than you think, given millions of years worth of experience, he's not just some big radioactive mutant lizard dinosaur fighting, screaming and hunting And secondly, Godzilla is pretty much "a god" compare to Superman in terms of strength and power 😅 heck, Godzilla even defeated Superman. Godzilla is practically a walking nuclear reactor. Superman might be strong but Godzilla's power levels are higher.
I DEMAND THAT YOU FINISH THESE LYRICS!!! 🤣🤣🤣 It has overwritten the original lyrics in my head and I can never hear that song the same way again! FINISH THE LYRICS!!
And before simps of both side argue, remember, who wins or loses depends on the version and the writer. There are many versions of supes just the same as godzilla, and it just so happens that supes version is weaker and godzilla well godzilla
@@jasonquinteros1190FR. Superman was actively trying to get Zod out of the city, but Zod was trying to involve as many civilians as possible. It's such a frustrating complaint about Man of Steel.
@@jasonquinteros1190 Oh I know, I was just going along with the video's meme. Personally I've never had a problem with Superman in that fight. The dude is try to stop a military general when he's a combat novice and the fate of the planet at stake. Of course it's gonna get messy.
@@sailordaigurren8225 Exactly. I think Superman(Not talking about how he made the Kryptonian ship crash into the city) himself knowingly destroyed like 2 or 3 buildings. Whereas Zod destroyed way wore especially when he threw Superman into multiple buildings.
So let me get this straight.. Superman saw everyone praising godzilla on the tv and came to rant about them being hypocrites but didn't come when the city was being destroyed by a bunch of other monsters
In Godzilla’s defense, he’s a giant lizard. There are gonna be destroyed buildings Superman is perfectly small enough to not destroy half a city, just be careful bruh
Still godzilla is a titan so of course his fights will destroy cities while superman is a human and have intelligence and is smaller in size so he can avoid city from being destroyed but his enemy destroying the city is not his fault
That’s what I was saying like let’s be fair to Godzilla Godzilla’s landmass is larger than a country not just one country 12 countries so it’s pretty unfair to say that he could’ve avoided all the damage
@babalonkie on average, how many times has Superman vs. lex luther or a run of the mill supervillan minusing planetary disasters destroyed a city when he could have easily killed them in comparison to a few times. Godzilla had to fight and most times he only comes when his territory is being threatened
I don't think it was so much that Superman destroyed the city that was the issue, it's that Synder's version of Superman just didn't really seem to care all that much about anyone other than Lois. It was the emotional whiplash of the thousands of unnamed Metropolis humans being killed in their battle without note and without any reaction from Supes, and yet he freaked out when he was (ostensibly) forced to kill Zod. This was also after two hours of a mopey, sad, entitled, emo Superman who seemed like he only saved people because he felt obligated to, not because he genuinely cares about human life. That was the criticism.
@@darkfang5346 I mean, to be fair, nobody really goes to see a Godzilla movie for hard-hitting character driven drama (a fact Hollywood took a baffling amount of time to learn), they just want a flimsy justification to watch two giant monsters punch each other into buildings.
In Christopher Reeve's Superman II, while Superman was fighting Zod, he chose to escape because he saw that he could harm the people of the metropolis. Superman was always aware that he lived in a cardboard world. Synder's version of Superman, on the other hand, appealed to a new generation of moviegoers and was based on action. An uncharacteristic execution is more appealing than victory brought about by a planned surrender combined with a tactical retreat.
I mean, to be fair, Godzilla is a massive creature, him walking can destroy buildings. Superman is a person, also he could have dealt with them before they got to Earth.
@@Mohamadtheman I never said he wasn't. You seem to be failing to understand so I'm going to clear it up for you. If you see a being like Godzilla, a giant lizard that is taller than buildings, and it turns out that this monster is a good guy, you're happy. This thing can destroy cities while just walking, so while there was a lot of damage, he was a giant monster, facing other giant monsters. When you have someone like Superman, that you know is a hero, and they are fighting other people sized beings and manage to destroy a city in the process, that's less reassuring. Especially because if Superman just dealt with them before they got to Earth as HISHE pointed out, then it would have never happened. Godzilla couldn't really deal with the MUTOs ahead of when he dealt with them.
Indeed; really good points concerning/addressing the criticisms some ppl had about MoS. Kinda ironic since HISHE as far as I can tell doesn't seem to like that movie
