Pretty cool detail: The reason this War suit looks lighter, less armored, can take less damage,the helmet can retract now. Is because this is a completely different suit from his old one that Clark destroyed. The first one was made by luthorcorp and extremely outfitted to fight Superman,Where this was just built using the design of the old one and built by John irons alone.

I'm someone who has been pretty disappointed with all of the more recent films from Superman Returns through the Snyder trilogy. This show, though, is the Superman I've been waiting for. As far as I'm concerned it's the best live action interpretation of the character since Reeve.

Fun fact the reason this Warsuit looks bit different is because it’s a new model of the original that got destroyed in episode 2. Hence the retractable helmet, lighter armor, more mobile, added weapons

The fact that Superman was able to fight off Zod more than the other subjects is probably because he’s spent years under yellow sunlight, which has conditioned his body to a stronger resistance to the Eradication in a physical sense (unlike Morgan). But, since physical strength isn’t everything, the positive feelings from his memories of his family, something to fight for, is what’s allowing for his mental strength. See, because the fear of losing his loved ones is what makes him want to fight more, and since Kyle said the negative feelings, giving up, is what strengthens the Eradication, then positive feelings weaken it.

Funny: everyone and their mother seems to hate him - professional critics haven’t liked any one of his DC movies (except WW1 but they were politically obligated to like it…until Disney made Captain Mar-Vel and they could pretend that no one else had made a female superhero movie to date 🙄), the fandom menace have blindly followed the opinions of professional critics against Snyder (and then pretend like they “speak for the fans” when they part ways with their professional counterparts over the latter being further left than themselves), comic writers at DC Comics and showrunners at CW keep mocking him, and the powers that be at WB are rumored to be erasing the Snyderverse with their little Flashpoint movie - and yet they’re quietly trying to copy what he did.

After first seeing the CW superman i had a feeling it was going to be cringe but after a few episodes of this series he plays it really well prolly one of the best

If all fairness, the way he was written on Supergirl, it’s like he was a castrated version of the character and Tyler Hoechlin’s performance was ..just ok…but with GOOD writing and story, and a great supporting cast in this show, he is absolutely SHINING here and is able to show his potential w/ the character…totally knocking it out of the park.

Yo I am so glad they made Superman so much better than what he was in Supergirl, they made him so much more realistic less cheesy but still charismatic. The writing is phenomenal, the action is entertaining as hell, the dialogue is great and the acting is great. Considering this show is on The CW, this is probably the best DC show on The CW and probably the best show on The CW

More of a testament to Superman's willpower and determination. Didn't need any fancy tech gizmo to break the mind control, the moment he came close to trying to take a life with his heat vision, he started to resist. And that's how Superman should be.
