Superman & Lois 2x08 "Into Oblivion" Season 2 Episode 8 Promo - CHANGES - Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch), Clark (Tyler Hoechlin), and Natalie (Taylor Buck) notice a difference in John Henry's (Wole Parks) behavior and fear something might be very wrong. Meanwhile, Kyle (Erik Valdez) encounters an awkward moment with Lana (Emmanuelle Chriqui) while stopping by the house to pick Sarah (Inde Navarrette) up for school. Lastly, Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alex Garfin) brace themselves when they realize a talking to from their parents is headed their way. Dylan Walsh and Sofia Hasmik also star. Ok I love Tyler as tv Superman but since some ppl saying he’s the best let me just say I mean I think he’s the best tv Superman we’ve gotten and he’s good for the direction of the show and theme the way they’re running. But Henry cavill kills as Superman superior to all. He is Superman. And to top it off he’s such a dork perfect for the role. They tried to add cgi muscles or asked if he would be willing to take steroids and he was like no if it’s not me it’s a dishonor to the character. I feel like sometimes he’s Superman. And he’s really good at the arcs we don’t get to see much like dark Superman Like I don’t see Tyler doing dark Superman as well as Henry like he did in the Snyder Cut. That scene in justice league Snyder cut was perfection. Mans carried a movie he was only in for like 15 mins.

This scene with Jonathan and Clark really showed how much Jonathan is truly like his father even though Jordan is the one with the powers, his loyalty to protect his girlfriend ( who i know doesn’t appreciate him) paralleled how Clark protects everyone around him. Watching that scene was heartbreaking because he’s literally depicting what Clark does. you can even see it in his face how he was trying to tell him and clark just didn’t want to listen.

Yes I can see that point but the poor boy is so dumb too. He does seem to care about her but I feel like it's less reciprocated from her. She's no good for him, got him drugs and I've never really seen how she even cares much about him really, almost every scene they have together she is just concerned with the physical part of the relationship. And if she really does care about him, she won't let him get expelled for her mistake, at least not easily anyway. But whatever happens, he just needs to wake up and break up with her

@@raihanfirdaus2946 U do know, that if he tells ppl about where he got the drugs, it'll ruin her life and her father's. She is only doing this out of necessity, to pay off her father's medical bills. Sure, that doesn't mean it's right but considering the this is smallville and the amount of financial depression this town has suffered. No wonder, why some wouldn't be desparate. Jon, understands that considering what happened in season one and now trying to be a better man. He is doing is to protect someone he cares about.

So they're gonna show more crisis flashbacks...I was wondering why they didn't show Natalie enter Earth-Prime in ep 1? Anderson is officially on my “tv characters that hate” list. I’m also excited for more of Tal redemption arc. He still ass but not so much anymore. Clark and Jonathan talk was something. In one end I feel bad for John but the other he knew what he was doing was wrong and need suffer consequences. Also is that girl really worth it. I never did like her. Both Lana and Lois were being their Supermoms selves again. I love when Lana took down that mayor a peg. Can’t wait for the debate. I’m so rooting for Lana. As for Sarah and her dad. I can 100% relate. My parents are divorce too, so I know exactly what Sarah is going though. I don’t even talk to my father anymore.

Both Clark and Lois dismissed Jonathan's feeling. None of them ever asked how he was doing after Jordan got his powers. They expected him to be okay with it. And now he got caught both of them cared about like Clark said to apologise to the team and he represented the family in a bad way. And Lois usual busy with other stop and just yells at Jonathan Not even asking him "hey how are you doing?. And the fact never bothered to take Jonathan to meet his grandma or just take him general to teach him about his heritage. I hope they will mention these things later on...

This was a good episode & I also personally had no problem with how Lois & Clark disciplined Jon within this episode. Lois was compassionate, made sure to understand his side of the story, but I assume also stood with Clark in that Jon’s behavior wouldn’t be tolerated. And Clark wasn’t harsh but was rightfully stern & laid down the law as he should since doping in sports is not only wrong & cheating but also illegal. And hopefully any young children & teenaged young adults watching this will learn a lesson as to the seriousness of doping in sports. The only thing in my opinion is that Clark should’ve thought first before telling Jon to also apologize to the team since I suspect Jon & the bully were not the only team members doping & if I’m right & it gets out then it could bring a scandal to the whole team & perhaps the school itself & maybe a lot of expulsions. But Elizabeth seemed to do a good job directing the episode. Does anyone know as to why this episode is being delayed ?

You're right about the discipline and obviously doping should never be tolerated and that would be fine if this were a normal human family, but they're not. It's blatant that Jon has insecurities about not having powers likely due to him having always being the "better" son when they lived in Metropolis and now is feeling inadequate compared to Jordan which is the true underlying reason that he took the X-K in the first place as proven when he got jealous of Sam training Jordan and levelled the playing field. Both Clark and Lois seem to be completely oblivious to this fact, which is fairly realistic tbf. But this is a very delicate situation because Jon needs to be punished and at the same time needs to be comforted so that he can understand that he doesn't need powers to be great, and if it's not handled right then he could spiral into a depression. As for why the episode is delayed, American broadcasters do this all the time, they’re in such a rush to get a show released to a deadline that they start airing the season before it’s reasonable to expect it to finish production during it’s own air time so they need to take breaks because they end up catching up to the unfinished episodes, so rather than delay the show’s initial release date they instead delay it mid way through.

that jonathan scene was pretty sad. the kid was to force to give up everything to move to a dead end town all for his brothers sake. and in an ultimate turn of irony, his brother got everything he previously had to give up. popularity, girlfriend, even taking the one thing left he had, which was football (due to powers). on top of that even after his brother gave up football, he now had to face people on the team also being better due to x kryptonite. jon really got screwed by everyone. the parents are really shitty here too tbh. especially clark at the end.

The scene with Jonathan and Clark, hit different. I can see why Jonathan turned to drugs and protecting his GF. I feel like in the family he is usually undermined or shunned out cause the focus is on his Jordan with the powers, or his dad being superman. I feel he took this drugs to escape, to be able to feel like he has something going for him. I think the talk he has with Clark will go two ways, it might set him straight, or it might make him lash out even more considering he feels even more misunderstood than ever that his parents don't trust him or even get what he is going trough.

I feel like it's also going to be a learning experience for Clark as he never had these kinds of troubles growing up, he was always special and one of a kind... So I feel like he's not going to understand exactly what Jonathan is going through. Clark was always the golden child growing up and never had to compete with anyone for the spotlight... I mean, he is Superman after all.

Naturally the kid who has powers requires people to watch over him but I feel like the parents did their best for both kids. Jon was just jealous because like he said in his drug induced state, he was the brother who should have gotten powers

A child feels unseen by his family so he seeks that attention elsewere. Usually from the public and friends. Even before jordan got powers the focus was always on him and his depression/aniexty and than he got powers and the focus was more on him and clark. While lois attention was on her work. So jons been left out and he tries to find validation from football bc hes good at it but than even that wasnt good enough. People who drink or take drugs are trying to get rid of something they dont like. And him taking drugs is him literally going " look at me i need help". I have no doubt Jonathan feels alone and his parents angry at him and being disappointed isnt gonna help.

I really hope they follow through and give Tal a redemption arc. It'll be nice to see him and Clark get to actually be brothers. And after he literally took a bullet (or technically two bullets) for Clark, that obviously changes their relationship. It also highlights his desire to actually have a family. His father was _so_ horribly abusive to him and it was clear that he wanted a relationship with Clark from the start. And I think part of why he did what he did with implanting all the Kryptonian consciousnesses was so he wouldn't feel so alone. Or course, that doesn't in any way justify his actions in season 1, or how he attacked Jordan a few episodes ago, but it does make him somewhat sympathetic in light of this most recent episode. I also liked how Clark was there when Tal woke up and that he actually unironically called Tal "Brother" right before leaving, as it shows he's now open to having a relationship with him in the future, even if he can't trust him enough to let him go free anytime soon. I have a feeling that what's gonna happen is that team Superman is gonna wind up needing Tal's help to defeat Ally and that that will (hopefully) be the start of him actually being a hero instead of a villian. I just hope it doesn't end with him betraying them. Anyone have any thoughts to share?

I think Ally is Tal’s wife in Bizzaro’s world. Maybe Ally offers Tal power if he stands with her but he chooses his brother. Sarah wants to talk to her dad because she wants to be with her friend but doesn’t want to hurt Jordan again. Sarah and Jordan will break up. Jon is going to ask Lucy for help. Then Lois finally will realized she’s pushing Jon away in the same way she did Lucy.

@@reallymadalyn597 You might be right about Ally being Tal's wife. I had the same thought. I have a hard time picturing Ally married to anyone though. It would be good storytelling to have her offer Tal power in exchange for his help and have him choose to do the right thing and stand with Clark et al. instead. I wanna see Clark actually start visiting Tal regularly and see them development some sort of real relationship though, otherwise I'm not how plausible it will feel to have Tal reject an offer of power and freedom to stand with Clark instead. Edit: Oh and I hope they don't break up Sara and Jordan. They're a cute couple and they're good for each other. I just wish Sara realized she can open up to Jordan. He definitely wouldn't see it as a burden. Plus, it'll be _such_ a double standard if they _again_ show Sara cheating on Jordan as no big deal while condemning her dad's cheating. Cheating is cheating, whether it's the man or the woman who does it. I mean, it's definitely worse for a married adult to cheat on their spouse than for a 15 year old to cheat on their boyfriend, but both are seriously wrong.

This promo is a little weird; it’s very disjointed: very brief clips that don’t appear to be related to each other. I’m sure it’s deliberate: they don’t really want to reveal anything about this episode. And they don’t want us to be able to figure it out from the promo. We’ll try anyway. Who is the guy being thrown against the car? Chrissy looks beat up and says something about poltergeist? Is there something invisible attacking people?

That episode was good, but I hated the way they killed off Bizzaro. Like I get that Anderson took that drug, but he's still human and it's not natural where as Bizzaro is an actual super being. He should not have been defeated so easily. Plus girl... Sarah 🙃🙃You called the girl YOU CHEATED on Jordan with to talk about your father's cheating because you're mad at him for cheating... Anyone else think Morgan Edge's wife in the other world could be Lana? We saw the other Lana fighting Bizzaro. Morgan and Lana are both very family values, and it looks like Sarah's dad may not be in the picture. Maybe that's why we're seeing Sarah getting close again with the girl she cheated with; If she and Jordan break up, they won't end up as kissing cousins.

I'm pretty sure everybody understands why he took it. Doesn't make it right. Lots of people take performance enhancers to be better than others. Jonathan needs to be okay with himself. His mother is great without powers. I think it was unfair for Jordi to be on the team in the first place.

Poor Jon, he’s breaking my heart. I really hope they don’t give him powers after all this cuz it feels like the whole point is that he thinks he’s worthless if he isn’t a super like his dad and brother. But he needs to learn that he’s good enough as he is. Getting powers now would just further drive the message that he was right to do the drugs and that his self hatred is justified.
