I'm a huge fan of your reading orders Omar but this one is something else. I've been collecting Superman books over the last year/year and a half and these reading orders have really helped me to discover what I'm missing from my reading order so far. Looking forward to the New 52 video so I can discover if I have my reading order in the right order or not. Keep up the awesome work .
Wow, this was perfect! I’ve been wanting to get more into post Infinite Crisis Superman, and your vid really helped on where to look out for. It’s simple, you presented them without spoilers and in a straightforward way easy for a newcomer, really appreciated!
Duuuuuuude, those custom New Krypton hardcovers are outstanding. I actually love that era, so many great creators, like Johns, Robinson and Rucka, super underrated. Would be awesome to have DC put out some omnis. I have all of the little hardcovers but still, an upgrade would be cool.

I really like this era off superman it’s amazing the decisions that get made this would be easy money 💴 for dc to do some omnibus and maybe one or two absolute off the delux editions 😮
Superman Birthright by Waid & Leinil Yu is getting a deluxe edition this fall too. Bit of a different origin than Byrne or Johns but really cool, kinda riffs on Smallville a bit. Very recommended if you enjoyed Secret Origin.
Yes I’d really like Busiek’s done oversized or omnibus. He is a great writer. Secret Identity was a surprise wonderful Superman story I never thought I’d be afraid for Clark than I was in this story
My fist Superman book was The Darkseid, I didn’t like it but after your reading order video I read The man of steel HC and I rally enjoyed it. Thank you so much
Hey Omar. The upcoming Maestro Omnibus preview solicitation you did the other day. There was a key issue missing from the contents: it’s a short Maestro/Hulk story from 2012’s A+X #1 written by Jeph loeb with amazing art by Dale Keown. There has been a Facebook post about it on the epic collections page (check your notifications as Kurtis findley Kindly tagged you in the post) Hopefully you can get this short story added to the Final Cut of the Maestro Omnibus. ; )🤞
From what i heard, i think JMS left Grounded to go do Earth One. It pissed a few people because back then, JMS left a lot of books before the end (for various reasons) and not having the internet as it is today, nobody knew why and we were just left to speculate that JMS was just being difficult. Now we know better Also, Grounded contains one of his most personnal story ever. I think it's issue 707, in which there's a kid with an abusive father. Sad stuff, but good.
I was disappointed by that too. From what I understand he was also having really bad vision difficulties then so that was a big part of him leaving projects as well. Luckily he's had surgery since then so I think he's doing much better. His AWA comics seem to be coming out at a reasonable pace.
@@NearMintCondition That would be really cool, JMS has been great at interacting with fans for decades, such an interesting and decent guy. Highly recommend his autobiography Becoming Superman, phenomenal read, equal parts tears, laughter, and inspiration.
@@NearMintCondition yes, that would be awesome. He's my favorite writer, and a very good communicator... when he's not asked stupid questions. He'll let you know if you do 🤣
Man JMS had it rough during this era. His Spider-Man was full of exec meddling, then Marvel derailed his Thor run with a crossover he didn't want to do, and then he leaves Superman because he doesn't want another big giant event.
3 Omni collections that need to happen: Superman By Geoff Johns, Superman New Krypton Saga, and Superman/Lex Luthor By Paul Cornell. Please DC! Take care and peace everyone.
Is there a website to know when WB is thinking of dropping omnibuses? Or is it to a degree word of mouth? I only ask because most of the batman golden age is out of print..
Hey Omar, I can't find the superman reading order written documentation anywhere on your patreon. Is it not available until your done with the complete reading order?
Hey Omar, have you done one of these for the new 52 batman era? I read the Snyder omni and Robin died mid story and it was never addressed. Then it ends with some girl being kidnapped and vol 2 of the omni completely drops that story and we are told that batman was hit with some new fear toxin and alfred has a daughter....it was super confusing. I feel like I'm missing a whole other omni.
In his Batman Reading Order either part 3 towards the end or beginning of part 4 Omar addresses that because Batman was being written by Grant Morrison that explains how and why that event occurred. It nicely gets further clarification and closure in Batman and Robin by Tomasi/Gleason Omnibus.
@@NearMintCondition Not the video title. In The description itself. You have "Superman: Ending Battle to Infinite Crisis (2006 - 2011)". Should be something like "From Infinite Crisis to Flashpoint"
I thought the Brainiac story was contained in Superman Last son of krypton deluxe edition. Even the description in different sites listed these issues as content of the book. But that is not the case. Anyone could confirm that? Thanks in advance.
