Did anyone notice that any and EVERY beneficial-to-self trait that icons have in this comic are magnified? If not magnified, just EXTREMELY exposed and vividly clear. Batman's psychotic mind was so magnified that he'd actually AGREE with the option of suicide. Lex Luther is intelligent but it is now made CLEAR that he can converse another Mind into self-destruction. And in the case of both magnification and hint of clarity, Superman's heart for helping everyone was put into case of too much good is bad.
He could have. Or it was a flat out lie too you could take it. Brainiac is also putting out his death trap while all of this is going on. If Luthor could do it as a level 9, imagine what Brainiac could do as a level 12? More than likely, he was just playing on Superman to be a puppet and he didn't realize it.
In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evils might, beware my power, Green lanterns light. Hintity hint hint.
If superman could actually be talked into suicide (wether he commited some damn atrocities or not) then we now know once and for all, that batman is can beat superman. just not in this universe, because superman is soooooooo O.P. no matter what.
