I think Metallo could have been made more interesting of a boss in the sense his Kryptonite Aura would give you a health bar, therefore making his fight slightly harder.
I don't think "Superman Returns" was a good film, but can people please stop calling Superman in that film a "deadbeat dad" because I swear people like this don't actually know what a deadbeat actually is. Deadbeat parents are parents who are aware that they have a child, but chose not to take part in the childs life. Considering that.....you know Superman didn't even know he had a child, the whole "deadbeat dad" label this version of Superman gets labelled as kind of falls apart.
Him having an illegitimate kid with ZERO foreshadowing before Lex even suggests it was a stupid move on Singer's part and really makes no sense. This is why I'm glad DC would later get it right with Clark's twin kids in more recent media.
A XXXX health bar is something i've said works perfect for the feel of a superman game, you are invincible. Metropolis/earth is not, take the hits, be the shield.
As Michael "Rage Quit" Jones once said about this game YEARS ago: "It's a free-roam game where there's not much to do, and you go fight people... And you throw cars at people." Also, it can't be an old 7th gen console game without ridiculous amounts of nearly unmarked collectables. It worked for Crackdown!
This is how I imagine this game went down: "Awesome we made a nice big map, got the characters all modeled, and the details are almost all there! How long do we have for the gameplay, mission variety, story department and everything else?" "200" "200 what?" "199...198...197..." Thus this game was born. Great review!
8:05 If Hulk Ultimate Destruction and Prototype had Superman Returns city heath bar; Hulk and Alex Mercer would instantly loose even though the game encouraged you to go all out, destroy stuff and kill stupid NPCs
When I was much younger, and when Movie Gallery still existed, I actually rented this game from there. For reasons I don't remember, I could never beat the combat tutorial. Seeing this review, I dodged a bullet.
Linkara put it best when he said that Lex Luthor's plan in this movie would have gotten him a bullet to the head if he actually succeeded as opposed to getting filthy, stinking rich. Also, of all the things they could have done for the game's finale, ripping off a mission from Superman 64? Really? You know with all those jabs at Snyder's Superman, I am seriously anticipating your review of the Snyder Cut.
Yeah considering how many rich and powerful people the USA has, who all would want Lex’s ass DEAD for threatening the most powerful country in the world. Also him effectively being branded a terrorist by the world, with the highest bounty in history on his head. Not to mention that Kryptonite is radioactive to humans IN THE LONG TERM! Since I know in JL they did show that he had a rock of kryptonite on him for years and only till then did negative side effects start to show. So at the start the land could technically be useable for a hideout of Superman’s villians until the radiation offs the mortal ones.
Which also lets be real, if Lex attempted any of the things he’s done in the comics, the world would’ve executed him pretty quickly, regardless if he survives to a courtroom as police are going to gun him down when he’s vulnerable. And if he survives, concrete shoes would be preferred!
Based on the intro, I’m guessing this link will help. It’s a reference list for backwards compatibility on Xbox 360. It’s a real shame that we have to use this since ideally EVERY Xbox game should be backwards compatible, but what can you do amirite? Great video man, keep it up! 👍 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_games_compatible_with_Xbox_360
Predator Concrete Jungle is on that list (or a list I've seen) but my 360 needs a wifi adapter to download an update to run those games. I ordered one, but it's late. And thanks!
Now that you have a Xbox 360 since your Sonic 2006 video, DLJ, I got a couple of questions to ask; will you be able to play Arkham Asylum/City on the consoles they're meant to be played? Or did you already have the Return to Arkham bundle for PS4 much like how you got PS4 version of Deadpool prior to getting your 360? I'm asking this if you can at some point review Arkham Asylum properly. Mainly 'cause I remember your old videos regarding your frustrations with the PC versions of Asylum and City.
I had this game on ps2 years ago, the legit only difference was that their were no bizzaro missions, tbh the gameplays alot alike but i think only the maps smaller. I had an xbox 360 growing up and for some reason you couldnt buy it on the market place and i could only play the 360 demo
I remember playing the PS2 version of this game forever ago. Wasn't the best, and I quit pretty early. Did have fun going on a rampage, though. Great to see you review it!
Oh Christ. You have a temperamental version of the console. Well just a warning: if for what ever reason you replace it and decide to get a slim model or the E series, make damn well sure that the HDD is an official Microsoft brand or else you lose all backwards compatibility! Even if you use a data transfer kit (like I did) you still lose out. I know someone out there will say "just hook up the hard drive to a computer and install the necessary files" but this shouldn't be a problem in the first place.
The way to defeat Riot easily is this...Use UPGRADED-freeze breath then, with lock on mode activated, use ordinary heat vision to take out Riot and his clones very quickly.
How would you rank these Superman games? Here is what I think you'll rank them based on your videos. 1. Superman: Shadow of Apokolips 2. Superman Returns 3. Superman (Game boy) 4. Superman 64
Heres a better idea fighting leg luthor in his comic power suit as the kryptonite island floats above the city raining down kryptonite. Or hell create a new area like the mongel area from the start but this time it takes place on the kryptonite island while lex in his power suit and superman have an epic final fight
Hey, Jadow, there actually WAS a game dedicated to The Flash. I played it. It was released in Europe for the Sega Master System, and it played like a traditional 2D Sonic platformer. The controls and story were fine, but the levels weren't built around the Flash's speed, making the game very frustrating.
If only you were able to play Superman: The Man of Steel for Original Xbox and see how much that one sucks, but I don't think it's backwards compatible
I'm still baffled why the hell Rocksteady's big return to the limelight is an online shooter Suicide Squad game that just looks a lot like Anthem to me. I have a bad feeling that corporate shenanigans are afoot.
Great Review man!. I thought yo wouldnt be able to get a Copu of This game. Is there any chance that you Could get spiderman 3 for the Xbox and Review it? it would be really great to Watch a Review from you about that game
No one realizes that the key to a flash game isn't to make flash ridiculously fast, you just slow everything else down and slightly increase flashes speed
oh poor Clark, he just can't catch a break in video game world, if he hasn't the other JL members alongside him let's see if Wonder Woman will fare better
9:50 "And the game's civilians are friggin' morons, man." Look at the name from the lower right. 19:13 "Suicide Slum" It seems the people in the city are packed with secret self-destructive tendencies...
So you’re having disc reading problems with your 360 and an Xbox game which doesn’t work on it? That’s a shame. Speaking of the Xbox, that has an exclusive Superman game, subtitled The Man of Steel. Is that up for a future video?
Superman: Man of Steel is not backwards compatible with the 360- I checked- so I'd need an OG XBox to play it. That sadly means it's off the table for the time being.
Superman Returns is an underrated film. It’s better then the first 2 Superman movies idc what people say it was more accurate to the comics then the original films in that franchise. Superman returns conclude the franchise perfectly.
I will concede it's probably better than Superman 2; I actually at one point had a full review of Superman 2 scripted long long ago because of how poorly its plot holds together
@@Darklordjadow1 agree I found Superman 2 mediocre at best but I kept fighting with myself because many praised this movie and I disliked it and I find Superman returns a much better film.
@@Darklordjadow1 The plot of Returns doesn't hold together very well either. Less we forget Lex got out of prison because Superman didn't testify, which would mean they had no actual evidence on him.
Superman Returns gets a lot of things right and if they had some more action along with having a villain aside from just Lex Luthor again (both could’ve been solved with someone like Bizarro or Metallo), maybe it could’ve been a movie that people talk about more
So what you're saying is the mission setup took the fun Activity/distraction system from the first two Saints Row games and fubernucked it beyond belief. Great. I'm starting to think game designers are a bigger threat to the Man of Steel than any of his other baddies could ever hope to be
You gotta teach me how to pressure Jadow. I’ve been waiting for him to review the Radical Entertainment games via 2003 Hulk, Ultimate Destruction and Prototype
Jadow seems to have an obsession with Zack Snyder. Why doesn’t he focus onto Ang Lee’s Hulk? It’s a movie that sucks but there’s some people that are mustering some arguments to defend it
He has become so bitter lately. Maybe it has gotten worse because he's trying to review the Snyder Cut, but Zack and his fans seem to live rent free in his head. Then again, I've thinking about taking a break from twitter because Justice League has been treading on twitter every day for the past week, so what do I know.
So sorry to burst your realization bubble, but THERE WAS AN ATTEMPT OF TRYING TO MAKE A FLASH game years ago DLJadow1. Dont believe me? Here is DYKG aka Did You Know Gaming video excellently done by Liam that demonstrates this concept, which looked cool: m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--fGs1QcUWsg.html So yes, there WAS going to be a development of that game along with a Justice League fighting game and many others, especially a SUPERMAN game done by Factor 5 as well, however, it did NOT get off the ground (and with Factor 5 closing shop due to their Superman game not getting greenlit, its a bit sad): m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qBeSUzmG43g.html
So why exactly is your 360 having problems running those other games, and are you still planning on reviewing them? I can’t wait to see your thoughts on Too Human, Rogue Warrior, and Bomberman Act Zero especially. :)
People have told me that I have an older and more temperamental XBox 360. I got Superman Returns to work by tapping on the console to re-align the disc laser every time I went to play it. Luckily Too Human is working without needing to do anything, so thay should work fine; otherwise I'm not entirely sure what the deal is.
Superman Returns was the only Superman movie I liked. It certainly does have problems, but I prefer its problems over all the others' problems. The original Christopher Reeves one is a somewhat close second, since I think the first half of the movie is perfectly fine, but when it starts getting into the conflict against Luthor, it goes downhill fast for me. Speaking as someone who has had to rely on his Xbox 360 to play certain Xbox games since I need to get my OG Xbox into a repair shop, trust me when I say that not all games run smoothly on it. The 360 uses emulation, not native backwards compatibility, and the quality greatly varies from game to game. The first two Spider-Man movie games run pretty well, but others are glitched into unplayability. Some are hilarious, like the Incredibles game putting a character's unwrapped texture file over city environments, others like Prince of Persia Sands of Time have slowdown so bad, they start desyncing the audio. Be a wary buyer when trying to play OG Xbox games on the 360. I wish it weren't so, but it is. I'm also concerned your 360 has a weak laser. Depending on how old that fat model is, it may be dying already, possibly leading to slower loading. Try using the Install feature to see if it installs a game onto the hard drive in a reasonable time. If not, you might be looking at something on its last legs. The discs might be too scratched (I don't know, I can't see the underside), but failing to read the disc is something I'd be concerned about.
Thanks for the advice. I didn't know how temperamental my model of 360 was, but I had to tap on the disc sensor to get it to read every time I went to play this game. I'll definitely look into that Install option
@@Darklordjadow1 Unfortunately, fat model 360's are tough to find good condition units in. If your unit has an HDMI output, there is a chance you have a revision that fixed the heat sink issue that caused the red ring of death, but there's a reason no one wanted a fat model for a while, until the 360 became old enough to be semi-retro and collectable. If you ever come across the model E version, that's the 360 I recommend. Much quieter than a fat model, smaller, usually comes with a large hdd installed, newer so the laser is likely in far better condition.
A Wonder Woman game will probably be just as bad, since much like Superman they would only use villains from the movies( in her case cheetah and Ares).
